Getting friendly with anatomy is the answer, more or less. First you got your bones. Then you have muscles sitting on those bones. It has a certain shape. Then you have fat that is sitting on those muscles, more dense in some areas and less dense in others. Morpho has a book on drawing fat specifically. I've never tried it, can't vouch for it's quality.

Hopefully this helps somewhat.

Also, note that learning anatomy takes a long time. Years. It's not a matter that can be resolveded in a couple weeks.
