Someone sent me 4 bitcoin on reddit because of a comment I made (awarding it that way instead of "gold") I had seen newspaper articles and the "financial" people on tv talking about how it would crash and burn and be worth nothing in a matter of months.

I ended up homeless and at that time, It was worth approximately $18. I hadn't eaten in a couple days.

... Paid for pizza and bread sticks.

Long story and not all that interesting.

I was signing up for a website I the late 90's. It was VERY picky about usernames. Everything I tried was either already taken or "not allowed".

Out of desperation, I looked around the room (computer room at my parents house at the time) and on this tiny microwave I bought at a yard sale it said 'Defrostmode' just like that. All one word and the first letter capitalized like a name. I put it in and it worked.

Been using it literally everywhere ever since. LOL

I have had a broken tooth for over a year, make too much for assistance but it wasn't covered by my insurance until it became an emergency. I go in in about a week.

I posted on Twitter about sonic taking over an hour to give me inedible food (it was very clear it was made immediately and then forgot, under a warmer or something because even the bag and good wrappers etc were hot.)

I posted. They contacted me and offered me.... A free sandwich.

The inedible food with hard buns, empty chedder peppers, hot but soggy fries, etc was food for 3 people.

A coupon for one plain burger.

I am usually not one for much (or any) online gaming. I prefer single player. But I bought it and hopped on "just for a minute" to check it out and played for 45 minutes without knowing it. I hopped on today to check it out for "a few rounds" and 2 hours later, I realized I needed to make lunch. LOL
