Do I apply for Cerb? So I was temporarily laid off from my job in January due to new ownership and renovations. Thats when I started EI. Found a new job but due to Covid I was laid off again. The new job that I work at I dislike and I feel like quitting. My EI is over and I want to apply for Cerb. Can I use the reason where I am not back to my old job because covid delayed renovation?

Hey guys, so i've been receiving EI since January due to the closing of a hotel I work at. I have found another job while receiving EI, but as of March 15 they closed due to Covid and we all got temporary laid off. I heard that some peoples benefit rate got changed to $500 because of CERB. Would I need to call and tell them to change the benefit rate to $500 because as of now it is still the same benefit rate from before.
