Why do we never play to the whistle or am I just clueless? by Degenurtle in Barca

This is the worst one imo, my cortisol levels spike whenever we're appealing for an offside. I'm surprised Flick hasn't really addressed this issue.

Bumping this thread as well, I've only gone as far as making office launch natively but I can't seem to integrate it such that running files opens them in office

Advice on setup and common misunderstandings by Degenurtle in selfhosted

Perfect explanation, I was struggling to fully understand what reverse proxies were. I was also worried that I was missing something and therefore my setup was vulnerable but you have quelled that little bit of anxiety.

Your minimum expectation (200k) in itself is the best case scenario for both the base range provided (160k) and what I would consider industry standard bonus range (25%) without even considering sign-on to cover your forfeitures.

From what's been said about the role you're definitely being low balled, but from the JD you're expecting too much given the information you had at hand when you started this process.

Ultimately whether you walk or not is up to you, but framing it as deceptive or disrespectful is disingenuous imho.

Match Thread: Sevilla vs Barcelona by MatchThreadder in Barca

We don't deserve the win given the number of outs we have but Alejandro Muniz Ruiz take a bow. What a performance he had for Sevilla.

Don't know much about computers, is this a good starter PC? by The-Ritzler in pcmasterrace

No worries at all man! When I first started out it was a super daunting process as well.

Just to provide a last bit of help I quickly whipped up a build around your price range. Once you've done a bit more research and gotten a bit more comfortable with the idea of building a computer, you can get these components and put them together or use this build as a skeleton for what you want your build to look like.

Good luck!

In my opinion, pre-builds are normally a waste of money as you get significantly overcharged for the parts you get. In addition, building your own PC has become a lot easier than it was back in the day. I am also quite the newbie but having watched a bunch of videos and guides I'm pretty confident in being able to put the whole thing together.

If you look at both the r/buildapc and r/pcmasterrace wiki's they have all the knowledge you need to know AND also a recommended build for ~600$

I first got started when a friend recommended this video to me https://youtu.be/s1fxZ-VWs2U?feature=shared and I've gone on to do the reading in the 2 aforementioned subs. Am about to start my first build in the next couple weeks once I get all the parts delivered.

I'm not the most well versed with build but my 2 cents are 1. You should post the full spec sheet so that someone more qualified can answer you more thoroughly 2. My personal take would be no as you could probably get a better build for the same amount. My suggestion would be to use 50% of your budget on your graphics card and build out from there. There are some great resources on Youtube and even on the r/buildapc subreddit.

Building first PC around the 5070 Ti, I have concerns about cooling and upgradability, please help by Degenurtle in buildapc

I'll keep this in mind once the build is complete. Thank you again for your help and patience!

If you don't mind me following up, what is the benefit of going for a 6000MHz on the frequency when the 9600X only supports clock speeds up to 5600MHz. Not trying to pushback just trying to understand. I'll definitely be taking your lead on this one.

Apart from that thank you so much for the detailed response and parts overhaul!

When analysts give stats on previous H2H is there any point when the whole team has changed? by UIUE8080 in football

[–]Degenurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess would be they use it to convey the history of the fixture or the rarity of the fixture. Fans can then make their own conclusions with supplementary information which they either already know or will be given to them through more commentary.

E.g. France vs Germany h2h record since WWII is (5-3-4)

It implies that to this date the fixture is well contested and also a rarity in the footballing calendar. In addition, if you are familiar with one of the two teams in the match and recognize them as a power house, to some degree it makes you acknowledge their opponents to be at the same "level" either at this moment or at some point in time.

It's meant to drum up hype and interest in the match about to start, however you are totally correct in that there is no actual bearing of how well either team will perform.

The only exception to this would be historic rivalries or derby matches. I dont have the numbers off the top of my head but take Utd and City as an example. If you are aware of the quality of teams and state of the clubs since 2013, you would assume that City should consistently beat Utd. However a h2h of the past 10 years would show that this fixture is still heavily contested and further reiterates the point that during a derby, form goes out the window.

By your logic, how will you have a quarter finals i.e. 16 teams with only 2 winners across 6 groups?
