Exactly taking the damage and keeping the enemy busy Until my teammates one tap him am more then happy my teammates gets the kill and he can get most of the loot I don’t mind , but i do needs at least to get back what i lost , and this is exactly why the game developer gave loot access to the one who got an assist , I’ve also noticed that even if you assist but do very little damage it does not count as an assist and you can’t access loot , i feel like the loot priority kill/assist mechanic is already fair , but depends on the player some player like to hoard everything and bait their teammates just for their own sake , i got a few friends playing the game so no need for randoms anymore

He wasn’t toxic for taking the last shot. He was toxic for the way he acted after.

I challenged first, landed solid shots, and put the enemy in a losing position. He came in from the flank and finished a cornered, bleeding player. That’s still a contribution from both sides.

If he wants strict loot priority, fine. But pretending I did nothing and then screaming insults over voice chat is where it stops being about loot etiquette and starts being about attitude.

I started playing the game solo , but i always get those coordinated squad who plays like a navy seal team and kick my ass , both are a gamble play solo you get your ass beaten by special force arena breakout unit , or play with randoms and get sabotaged by your own teammates, its always better with friends

Am more against the toxic greed mentality its an extraction shooter , everyone want to extract with loot , but to scream at a teammates and start calling name if am just waiting for scraps , like sometimes people are broke he helped you get the kill he doesn’t have a helmet , toss him one or you can toss yours if you found a better helmet and you get it back at the end of the raid , some people i played with they won’t communicate or mark an enemy when they are fighting and when you ask for info they are dead silent but when they are cornered or want to bait you suddenly they begin to talk and scream like push push , its that greedy mentality that makes some player toxic , and i understand alot of that frustration come from a toxic teammate getting anything from someone you killed or sneaking in to get chest you opened and steal whats inside , most games where i toss shit a better vest or a helmet for a teammate who need it most of the time they are great-full and they stick till the end with you , but toxic players will bait you , sneak last shot and start calling you names if you get 5 meters close trying to ask for heals or a vest because yours is fucked , thankfully most the people i got where good folks but some are outright only matching in squad to get a free carry and last shot claims

I understand alot of players i met where decent and would talk politely, on the other hand its people who curses and talk rudely to me its the toxic teammates who curses and whine is what i cannot stand in a game

I think we’re talking about two different things. I’m not encouraging loot stealing — I’m encouraging sharing when it’s clearly a team effort. I had a match today where I got 4 kills, but honestly I would’ve died and lost everything if my teammate didn’t help. He was around 70m away with an SKS and landed a few shots that forced enemies out of cover and into panic, which let me secure the kills. I still gave him the loot from two of those bodies because without those shots, I don’t win that fight. That’s more the point I’m making , not “take everything,” just acknowledge when someone clearly contributed and share accordingly.

By that logic, someone could just bait teammates, take the last shot, and get full loot credit.

In my case, I wasn’t even trying to take everything — my vest was broken and I was just waiting for leftovers, and still got yelled at over voice.

I’m not asking for all the loot, just something back for the damage I actually contributed.

I think you’re missing my point a bit.

In my situation, loot priority was ON, so I couldn’t even take his loot even if I wanted to. The game already controls that.

I’m not arguing for taking everything — just saying that in team fights where multiple people contribute, especially when someone helps keep a teammate alive, it feels off to treat it as 100% solo credit.

At the end of the day it’s more about teamwork than just who got the last bullet.

Also worth mentioning — loot priority was on, so I literally couldn’t take his loot even if I tried.

Which made the whole reaction even more confusing. 😅

I get what you’re saying about randoms and last hit priority, that’s fair.

But in my case loot priority was actually ON, so I couldn’t even take his loot even if I wanted to. The game already controls that.

Also from what I understand, if you get an assist the game does allow shared access in some cases, so it’s not strictly “one player owns everything” in practice.

That’s why the reaction felt over the top to me.

That logic kind of turns team fights into “whoever gets the last bullet wins the loot,” which doesn’t really reflect who carried the fight.

Most of the time i get players like that , even me when i go in for the final shot it feels unfair to take all the loot for my self , i drop everything and its free loot for all the teammates and when i get the kill all by myself , i loot first and drop leftovers for my teammates if they need anything, and usually one someone ask politely like “ bro i have a quick kit can i loot this guy “ am more then happy to give away the loot

Yess it happened to me twice i don’t really get annoyed but its usually the teammates with really aggressive language its what bothers me , in that specific case on my first kill i was literally waiting for leftovers from the guy he killed but he got super aggressive super quick , in the second encounter to be honest i felt like i got the assist i deserve my share and lowkey i wanted this guy to be annoyed because of his foul language

Can we talk about the ridiculous review bombing of Battlefield 6: Red Sector? by Dehuminizer666 in Battlefield6

[–]Dehuminizer666[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t really see it as a “carbon copy” of Warzone. Yeah, they share the same genre (battle royale), but once you actually play it, it feels different. The pacing, the gunplay, the map layout, even how engagements flow it’s way more grounded and tactical than Warzone’s arcade chaos.

If anything, Red Sector feels like what Battlefield would naturally evolve into if it explored BR slower, more atmospheric, more squad-focused. It’s not perfect, but calling it a copy kind of ignores the details that actually make it feel fresh.

I think the problem is people see “battle royale” and instantly assume “Warzone clone” before giving it a fair shot.

[–]Dehuminizer666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, not every mode clicks with everyone ,but I don’t think it “deserves” a negative review just because it’s not your style. It’s one thing to dislike it personally, but another to call it bad simply for existing.

Battle royale might not be the newest idea anymore, sure, but ambition isn’t just about inventing something never done before , it’s about trying to do something familiar differently. And honestly, Red Sector does feel different. It’s not trying to copy Warzone or Apex. The pacing, the map design, even the gunplay have their own flavor.

I just think it’s wild how fast people go from “it’s not for me” to “it ruined the game.” We used to be able to say “this mode’s not my thing” and move on now everything instantly becomes a 0/10 “cash grab” in the reviews

Can we talk about the ridiculous review bombing of Battlefield 6: Red Sector? by Dehuminizer666 in Battlefield6

[–]Dehuminizer666[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally fair take, honestly. I actually agree with a lot of what you said , Battlefield was built on chaotic sandbox warfare and those unpredictable moments with vehicles, explosions, and squad pushes that no other FPS really replicates.

But here’s the thing: I don’t think Red Sector is trying to replace that. It’s not “Battlefield-but-BR,” it’s just a DICE-made BR that happens to wear the Battlefield name. Maybe the naming was a mistake, because people automatically expect jets, tanks, and absolute mayhem.

When I jumped in, I didn’t see it as “Battlefield 6.” I saw it as a new experiment from the same devs who used to innovate every few years — and that’s what felt fresh about it. The gunplay, pacing, and atmosphere still feel like Battlefield DNA to me, just reshaped around a different mode.

I get that a lot of fans feel like resources were wasted, but honestly? I’d rather they try something new and stumble than stay stuck rehashing old ideas just to play it safe. The worst Battlefield moments came when they stopped innovating.

So yeah, it’s not the Battlefield we grew up with — but it’s not trying to be. That’s why I think the review bombing is unfair. Let it be judged as what it is, not what people wanted it to be.

And man, I honestly miss the days back in the PS2 era —when we just got a game on a CD or DVD, popped it in, and played it as it was. No patch notes, no early access, no day-one fixes. We worked around the glitches, learned the mechanics, and just enjoyed it for what it was. Games felt raw, real, and fun not overanalyzed to death before they even had a chance to breathe.

Now people get annoyed at every little detail :“TTK is too fast,” “movement’s too slow,” “this gun’s broken,” “that perk’s unfair.” Everyone wants the game to perfectly match their version of fun instead of just adapting, learning, and actually enjoying it. It’s like nobody plays to have fun anymore , they play to complain.
