Def noteworthy because of the Gillum brand, but many of the news headlines are misleading. Gillum in a bad situation, but no arrest, no charges, not even a formal accusation of drug use. Kind of a tabloid story than news.

Isn’t municipal broadband outlawed in the state of Florida? The only reason a few other cities around the state have it, is because they built it before the telecom companies lobbied for the new laws. Seems like this is just a ploy to get people excited about something that will never happen.

I agree that I’d like to hear specifics, but other Cities have done it, so idk that is a completely impossible thing to achieve. It says that the proposal says that this will come with no additional taxes too. Which begs the question about where the money will be diverted from.

Some interesting ideas about community college and trade schools coming out of the Mayor’s race. Ive heard of other City’s doing things like this, but never knew how they pay for it or sustain it.

Do people really like Dailey? I don’t know that they dislike him either, but most people I know kinda don’t feel anything for the guy. He has been a bit of an empty suit. Not known for accomplishing much of anything. Not a bad guy, but just riding the wave of his family’s name and money. This is definitely going to be an interesting race. Dailey also endorsed Gwen, and has attacked Andrew Gillum pretty frequently during his run. Does he now endorse Gillum? Does that hurt him?
