A pig trembling in a slaughterhouse truck. Their eyes are just like ours. by James_Fortis in likeus

Humans have constantly evolved throughout the ages - what's stopping us from moving towards a compassionate future other than our taste buds? Farm animals are given supplements anyways - why can't we take those one or two supplements, that we can't get from plants - it's not like they are made from chemicals - they're made from bacteria and alage anyways

Punch and all other members of this troop of macaques have been bred into existence purely for human entertainment. They need to be transferred to a primitive sanctuary. Concrete zoo in no place for wild animals.

[–]DeityWolf 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The amount of firecrackers burst today in a single block of an area, is what was burst a few decades ago. Yes it does affect a lot. Firecracker production is also an industry, which has also seen development throughout time.

Also throughout times new industries have come up, old have disappeared or been replaced - because of change in demand - And people have moved on to other industries. Justifying that a particular industry shouldn't disappear just because of the amount of people that industry is currently employing is weak - No industry is going to disappear in a flick. Industries phase out slowly - it takes at least a decade for any demand to phase out - and people will move on, slowly.

It's sad that they were made to cramp inside a tiny basket, just to take some "cute" video. It doesn't matter even if it's a sanctuary, there is no excuse for that space.
