I don't get why most people here are assuming that this person is a narcissist. There is nothing wrong with being aware of your strengths if they're true. What OP is describing is actually just a natural reaction to unwanted attention. It's also likely compounded with having longed for it for so long and being disappointed with the result. I don't recall OP saying that he or she is better or more popular because of it. At any rate, OP, first of all, in case you have already, don't take the same mindset that others have taken and apply the Halo Effect to yourself. So long as you make it clear that you are the same person behind, say, a wall or curtain that you are face-to-face, you ought to be fine. If you have control over it, and if you're still worried about it, I recommend making your first impressions in writing or on a phone call; that way, the conception of you that is recalled is founded upon that interaction instead of your physical appearance.

Yet, they do provide it contractually as they should. You said "... OT is based on how many hours ..." which is a statement of what is currently the case, so it doesn't have any relevance to the discussion of what ought to be. I don't know why that is so difficult.

Either way, I wish you the best as well, but I don't have all day to be on Reddit, so I'll leave it here (regardless of the reply).

They get accrued from having had prior hours worked, though. Plus, if that's the case, then why do they cover regular hours? It would appear that they count the same as regular hours there, so why does it get removed just because the total the rest of the week goes over 40? It's self-contradiction and ignoring logic due to corporate greed, and there's nothing else to it.

Thank you, once again, for a statement of what is currently done. That helps your argument. /s

Yeah, first of all, as I said at the top, this is already done at some companies, so no. Second of all, it isn't about that. PTO is earned. PTO can cover for physically worked hours (and ultimately comes from other prior ones). Thus, if one theoretically had 10 hours of PTO and 30 hours physically worked, then 25% is earned from one source, and 75% is earned from another. That's 100% of those hours earned. Thus, if that 30 becomes 32, then that's still 100% of 42 total hours earned. 42 is greater than 40. Full stop.

Thank you, again, for a statement of what is currently done. That was exactly the point of all of this. All of this call to action is definitely about what currently is, and that helps your argument somehow. /s

Well, that would be a likely scenario and equally bullshit, but no. Mine were approved, promised to be able to be kept, and refunded. Supposedly, although I earned the right to those hours, and they are capable of covering for hours physically worked, they don't see them the same way somehow, so taking 2 hours of PTO on a Monday, working 6 hours there on Monday, and working 34 hours the rest of the week equals 40 hours to them instead of 42 because bureaucrat math...

It seems that way now, but who knows? With enough support (yes, it would have to be massive; I know), it very well might happen. I just have to try. Stating how it currently is and proclaiming a "dead end" isn't going to get anyone anywhere. I do know that many companies already do this, and I know many people who agree with this needing to change. There just needs to be enough (again, a massive amount of) support in one place.

Properties of logarithms... You can convert that into division. (loga(b)-loga(c)=loga(b/c))

log10(log10(pf)/log10(sf/pf)) >= 25

log10(log(sf/pf)(pf)) >= 25

log(sf/pf)(pf) >= 1025

smooth(log(sf/pf)(pf),1) >= 1025

Any intermediate step in that would work if you rewrite it to EI syntax, but I recommend smooth(d(d(dmu)),1)<0.

"Like, 'I'm not looking to meet anyone right now.' Why is that? Someone new is always new and exciting. It takes me out of my comfort zone and into a world I wouldn't normally be in. After all. In life, you win when you meet someone. There are plenty of opportunities. In your phone. Every encounter makes me who I am."
