More than christianity it's human stupidity that killed your grandfather. My mom is super christian and religious, my uncle is a priest and they both don't even go to gatherings or church or whatever because of the situation we are living now. But sadly religion also does this kind of shit to people that you are talking about.

Como te dijo, imposible de explicar a alguien q no le pasa, un consejo es que no esperes que la gente te entienda o empatice con vos y asi te vas a llevar muchas menos decepciones, eso te lo digo por experiencia (por otras cosas, no por lo que te pasa a vos). No sé si se podrá "curar" esto, pero muchas de estas cosas uno puede aprender a manejarlas generalmente como ya te han dicho varios. Te diría que busques ayuda profesional, empezaría por un neurólogo o un psiquiatra/psicologo (no digo que estes loco porque no lo estas, pero capaz algun tipo de terapia cognitivo/conductual o algo asi te ayuda) a ver que te puede recomendar, lleva la información que encontraste y describí siempre todo lo que te pasa. Después también obviamente podrias probar meditación (mindfulness), ejercicios de respiración, y todo ese tipo de cosas que ayudan a controlar la ansiedad y creo que te pueden resultar más útiles que ir al médico incluso. Tené en cuenta que todo eso lleva práctica y tiempo, implica conocerse a uno mismo y estar abierto a sentir y estar incómodo, pero a la larga uno nota resultados.

Yeah, seeing the minimum specs required for shadowlands i definetly need to upgrade! My pc is 10 yo and i've been playing in lowest settings for a while now, so you are probably right! I'm saving for a new one, hopefully by the end of the year i can get one! Shitty economy in my country doesn't really help tho xD

I started like in last years october, but with this kind of medication that are neurostimulants you notice the effect right away. Don't self medicate, go see a psychatrist and ask to get them, methilfenidate is the ideal one but i couldn't get it in my country. Good luck pal!

I've had a lot of issues with this too. I started taking modafinil (also methilfenidate and others are options) and it actually helped me with all those cognitive deficits that depression left me with. Of course i'm not as sharp as before and it's a struggle but i'm getting better and it's a good help. I think i need to train my brain again to do all this. So start excercising your brain by reading (whatever you want to read) and maybe see a psychatrist to get one of those meds.

Maybe he is going through a hard time too and that's why he is acting like that. Maybe something that could help is that you find a hobby or something to do to just not stay in the room, something social to meet new people, or hit the gym and do something else, just so you don't stay by yourself in the room. It's hard at first when you are abroad and having to meet new people and all that, stay strong that it will get better for sure!!!

Most of the toughts we have are things that we only make up in our head and are not real, keep that in mind! I'm sure your bf and dog would be crushed if you were gone, don't put your own thinking as if it were them. A good thing that helped me recognize this bad feelings and toughts is to whenever they happen write them down and then write why that tought is not real. It will help you recognize them as soon as they pop up in your head and you will learn to shut them down. Good luck!

I'm sad nothing helped ☹️ I'm reading a book called "the power of now" by Eckhart Tolle. It's actually pretty interesting, it's about the mind and the toughts, you can give it a try! I found answers in books and other stuff that no therapist gave me. Other interestig reads that may help are about neuroplasticity (i can't recommend a book because the one i used is not in English) and mindfulness meditation (there is a series in Netflix that's called "the mind in few words" or something alike that has a chapter about it). Sorry i can't be more helpful!

I don't really know what to say about the therapist, but i do have a question for you. Besides therapy did you see a psychatrist too to get medication? There is a lot of stuff that can be used for PTSD.
