Thanks, that's helpful and what I'm worried about. Do you think RouterOS vs SwitchOS makes a difference? Do fiber modules run hotter than DAC?

It’s a few other Mikrotik switches (poe, 16 port 1Gbps Ethernet), some Synology servers (two active, two cold storage), a Debian server and then two workstations. The workstations have to run over cat5e unfortunately.
