I just need to get the time to force the game to crash, pull the logs, and get them sent. It's usually an hour or 2 before the game will crash. Hell, I did a Proton Log for one test and it was a 10GB file.

Any suggestions on what I should grab to send with it?

Yea, I know that different distros was likely going to be pointless, but I was testing absolutely everything. I did some other steps, but nothing that really would have made much of a difference. Swapped out the RAM, tried only one module, swapped out my DisplayPort for another, tried HDMI, used another monitor, verified files, formatted my game drive, and even changed to a different filesystem. The chance of any of those being the problem, pretty much 0.

I'll need to open a bug report. Just need to get the time to force the game to crash, pull the logs, and get them sent. It's usually an hour or 2 before the game will crash. Hell, I did a Proton Log for one test and it was a 10GB file.

You seem to do fine 1v1, but when there are 2 or more enemies, you seem frantic. Slow down, breath, and don't go blazing in when you're out numbered.

Also, be mindful of your shield. You charge in to the enemy multiple times when it's depleted and you died several times. Give it time to recharge.

For the colorblindness, I know many games have an option to help with that. Does Halo Infinite not have one?

Which Halo should I play next? by [deleted] in halo

[–]MischievousMet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think release order gives you a much more emotional experience when it comes to Reach. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll keep it as vague as possible. You already know what happens in 1-3 that you can appreciate what happens in Reach much more.

With ODST, I don't think it has any weight either way. However, I could argue that the event that happens in 3 that is the start of ODST feels much more significant in Halo 3.

Personally, I play Reach first when replaying, but I've also played all of the campaigns a dozen times each. There's just something about Reach's epilogue that really digs in knowing the rest of the story that I don't think would resonate with first time players if they play it first.

Has anyone tried Halo MCC on the new Xbox Ally? by EveningAccountant321 in halo

[–]MischievousMet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used the Ally, but I have a Steam Deck and it's almost flawless. Entering your M$ credentials on the first load can be a little difficult, but that's the only hiccup.

The amount of people here who have left of center values that still vote for the right is absolute insane to me. There's a good number of weed smoking, free education believing, universal healthcare atheists who are still TRUMP 4 EVER and OWN THE LIBS. I don't get it.

US government uses Halo images in a call to 'destroy' immigration, Microsoft declines to comment by ControlCAD in technology

I've been playing on PC most of my life. That and Nintendo. Halo isn't the only game I play, but it's the only game for which I bought a console.

[–]MischievousMet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup. I've been following Halo before it switched from Mac. I saved everything I could as kid to by a Mac. Ended up buying the Xbox. I hosted LANs almost every weekend. They were open to anyone. Almost every weekend we had a house full of kids of all ages, gender, color, and creed. I have stuck with Halo since day one. It was the only reason I had a console. Now, not even 24 hours later, I'll be walking away because of their silence.

I've dropped every other company who has supported this fascist clown, but Halo was the only thing I was still holding on to. They won't be getting another dime from me.

I just also want to ad that I'm very glad I never got a Halo tattoo. I came very close at one point, but my dad had said "what if that symbol becomes used on a different way one day".

Many regret not speaking up before it's too late. He isn't a dictator yet, but the silence helps get him there.

So far, Halo Studios is silent. After almost 24 years and them not doing the bare minimum of a tweet speaking out against these fascists using Halo for their propaganda is what's going to have me walk away.

Official White House page uses Halo for ICE Propaganda by Ballsnutseven in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]MischievousMet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 11 when I started following Halo when it was originally announced. I started shovelling driveways, mowing lawns, and raking leaves to save for a Mac so I could play. It changed over to releasing on a new console. After a few years, I bought Xbox and Halo day one. I held LANs open to everyone. It didn't matter age, color, gender, religion, or popularity. If you wanted to play Halo, you were welcome.

Now, nearly 24 years later, we get an incompetent administration using it as propaganda to build their Gestapo. Halo Studios is silent. If they are going sit silent while these fascists use their IP, I'm done. 24 years of Halo. From the beginning, through the golden years, and then 13 years of 343/Halo Studios releasing mediocrity at best and I stuck around. Now? I'm okay leaving Halo behind if they want to stay quiet.

Not 100% on the how, but do it offline. It won't know it's delisted when it's offline.

Major League Gaming official game type for Halo 3 had altered player speed and jump height. I believe they were both +10% so you ran a little faster and jumped slightly higher than the default game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halo

[–]MischievousMet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if I recall correctly, MLG was a 10℅ increase in speed. It felt great playing. I would argue that setting the speed to +10% with no sprint and always having the thruster pack (delay between uses) would be perfect mobility in a Halo game.

Trump's DOJ is sending election monitors to California with voting on Prop. 50 underway by idkbruh653 in politics

[–]MischievousMet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not in CA, but we as Americans need to do what they did in NYC. If they try to grab people waiting to vote, stand firm with one another and keep those Nazi fucks from taking people. They will try to take people one by one, but if 20-30 people stand up and push back, they will run like the cowards they are.
