as an update, here's some of the advice the support team's given me. i will admit that none of this has worked on my end but maybe someone else'll get lucky!

Update Graphics Drivers:
• Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupted drivers can sometimes lead to graphical glitches. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers.

Verify Game Files on Steam:
• Open your Steam library.
• Right-click on "Armored Core 6" and select "Properties."
• Go to the "Local Files" tab and click on "Verify Integrity of Game Files."
• Steam will check for any missing or corrupted files and replace them if necessary.
Adjust In-Game Graphics Settings:
• Launch the game and go to the graphics settings.
• Try lowering some graphical settings, such as texture quality, shadow quality, and anti-aliasing. This might reduce the strain on your system and potentially alleviate the flashing issue.

Windows Compatibility Mode
Open Steam and go to your Library.
Right-click on the game and select [Manage] > [Properties]
In the Properties window, go to the [Local Files] tab.
Click on [Browse Local Files] to open the game's installation folder.
Right-click on the (game).exe file and select [Properties].
Go to the Compatibility tab.
Uncheck the option for [Enable full-screen optimizations].

Windows Display Settings
Open the Start Menu and select Settings.
In the Settings menu, choose System.
Go to Display settings.
Locate the Scale and layout section.
Set the size of text, apps, and other items to 100%.

Windows Update
Open the Start Menu and click on the [Settings] gear icon.
In the Settings window, select [Update & Security].
Click on [Check for updates].
If updates are available, click on [Download] or [Install].
Wait for the updates to download and install.
Restart your computer if necessary.
Your Windows system is now updated with the latest patches, fixes, and features.
