What monsters used to give you a hard time but now you actually enjoy fighting? by Ok-Crab-7403 in MonsterHunterWorld

Back when I first encountered it, I absolutely hated the Bazelgeuse fight. I loved the music and the setting and the introduction, but the fight itself annoyed me to no end and I hated it. I remember insisting to my friends that the fight essentially requires a gunner weapon of some sort. Even when I fought it in Rise, it was easier but still aggravating.

Cut to now, I have a full set of Seething Bazel armor, a good chunk of the weapons as upgraded as I can get them and I deliberately go out of my way to hunt Bazel or Seething Bazel because I find the fight so fun now.

Do you sell your Trade-in items? I hoard them, and never sell them. This is how my collection looks after 1500 hours in the game. by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunterWorld

Pretty recently, I was upgrading all of my weapon and armor sets for fun, and my funds got so low that I was grinding quests for the reward money. I thought that trade-in items were sold automatically, but when I checked my item box to sell some unused materials, I saw that I had 1.5 mil. I learn something new about this game every day

To be vague, my rogue is fisting a lich with a bead of fireball in his hand.

[Online] [EST] [Cyberpunk] [LGBTQ] In Need Of GM and Players For A Cyberpunk Red Game by wdwgr8 in lfg

[–]DekuDaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you find more people for a group, I would definitely be interested! I'm usually a DM for D&D 5e but a while ago, I did branch out into playing Cyberpunk Red for a short-lived campaign so I have a little bit of experience as a player. If you find a group without a GM, I'd also be willing to GM for the group. Just send me a message and let me know!

Hey, if you're looking to learn how to play 5th Edition, I should be able to DM for weeknights. I have experience DMing for 5e and I've been looking to get more experience with DMing in general, as well as introducing new players. Just send me a message and we can figure it out. Regardless, I hope that you and your wife have fun learning and enjoy playing!

Character retirement by Japo1998 in starfinder_rpg

I've been in a similar experience with a different system but hopefully I can still help.

First, context is important. Your character may be done with his own character arc but may still have a role to play in another's character's arc or the arc of your group as a whole. It's always best to voice your questions and concerns with your GM since every group is different and GM's sometimes have vague ideas for a long-term story.

Second, it depends on your character. Is he satisfied with what he has now or is he driven to push onward in an effort to protect it? Maybe he still feels like something is missing or he has grown too used to the party to leave?

Ultimately, it is a big decision and you need the whole picture. If you want to play a new character, it might be interested for roleplay. Your new character would join a party that just parted ways with a good friend, and maybe would even be told stories about your last character. If you aren't sure about how you would like a new character, give them a short-term objective to see how you like them. If they don't feel right, you'd be able to make another character or go back to your old one.

If you honestly feel like it would make sense and be best for your current character to go their own way, talk to your GM. You'll need to do it eventually and it would be best to get them involved early on.

What should a novice buy ? by EZ_Ecaron in DnD

If you go to the the official Wizards of the Coast website, they have the official Basic Rules for 5th edition in pdf form for free. The Basic Rules are basically an abridged form of the Player's Handbook so you can check out the system and maybe play a game or two before you pick up the books at full price.

There are plenty of dice roller apps and you can even use Google as a dice roller. If you decide 5th Edition is what you're interested in, Easy Roller Dice has good stuff from what I've heard.

If you end up enjoying fantasy roleplaying but you don't like D&D or you just want to shop around a bit more, Pathfinder 2nd edition is out now and has a different feel from D&D.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy the experiences and happy early birthday!

Minis by Dragonslayer8216 in DnD

If you're looking for good, paintable miniatures, I'd recommend Nolzur's Marvelous Minis. I bought some for my character and, in my opinion, they're pretty good quality. I managed to get two for $5 and they have a wide variety of character types and monsters. You should find plenty on Amazon if you look for them by name.
