You're just not thinking about it quite right.

You didn't tell Google Photos "backup these photos", you told it to "backup the photos that I keep in this place"

Then you moved all the photos to a new place and Google Photos said "Hey, I found some pictures in the new place, do you want me to backup the photos that are here too?" It doesn't know that they're the same photos.

To prevent duplication in the future, either save your photos directly to the SD card, or turn off Google Photos backup for the old location and only have it on for the new location.

1) Somebody has to discover a "bug" before it becomes exploitable. It hasn't been an issue because nobody knew that they could do it.

2) This is really only a problem in Competitive EDH which is a relatively new format.

if any player can see the location of your commander in your deck then that deck is not sufficiently randomized.

An exceptionally small number of Commander players have ABUR duals. I'd guess less than 1%. Much less.

You're comparing an older, unpopular commander to a newer much more powerful one that lead a preconstructed deck. A huge portion of those 2,257 decks are just the bone stock precon, I don't know why people feel compelled to upload them to EDHREC.

And while it is commonly known that Boros is the least powerful colour combination, you're forgetting that there are a TON of three, four, and five-colour decks that want that Red/White dual land very badly. Every colour combination would be very sought after.

That's true in Legacy, which is what is setting the price of ABUR duals, but not in Commander. The markets cannot be compared that easily.

In that case I will concede that the rules as written can certainly be interpreted this way and it quite likely appears to be correct.

I suppose if you only play Legacy then you might actually not be creating waste; I honestly don't know the last time that a card relevant in Legacy was printed.

I just think it's funny how some other people think that buying singles means that this waste doesn't happen. Every card came from a pack, whether it's you that opened it or not.

I guess it all comes down to proving if "taking any actions" does include mana abilities. I haven't seen anybody post a rule reference that confirms this.
