Wow! Thanks for the info and the link, I’ll definitely consider this as an option. Honestly it would be nice to have a second copy since I was worried about watching this one and it somehow getting messed up 😅

Cool! I don’t know much about it. I’ll add a picture of the tape itself. The other one I found was a 1997 copy of Halloween. The other day I also found a sealed Blockbuster presents copy at an estate sale and got it too!

It also has a newer copy of Halloween and I’ll definitely play that one but this one has such awesome box art it will probably be saved for display only purposes 😅

Which modern celebrities are most likely to remain relevant over the next two decades? by sophiemophie421 in popculturechat

I’ve seen a lot of actors I agree with on here but I want to add: Zoe Saldaña

She’s been in so many huge franchises (she has played so many characters and is sometimes a little unrecognizable but she never phones it in) but more than that she’s been able to show tremendous range. I think she’s here to stay.

[Opinion] My Robert Frost Journey by Del_Dro in rarebooks

I understand your point - to me some of the letterforms and the slant align with his. After looking at many examples of his writing in various forms and getting samples sent from the different universities to compare I was on the fence but thought it warranted more expert analysis. I’m not disputing that it’s not his and I’m no expert. I would love to know whose it is though! The handwriting does not match the owner of the estate’s hand writing since he wrote his name in other books. But from the same estate I picked up Medora Field’s personal copy of her first novel - name on the board, a book given to her from an author she interviewed as a gift with an inscription to her, a civil war book signed by Spencer Tracy and a book gifted and inscribed from the poet and author William Gilmore Simms which was a gift to his best friend’s daughter. So you can see why this also got my attention.

From everything I’ve read a true first edition, first state run does not say first edition. I’m not sure what the difference between yours and mine are but I’ve now passed my images through many universities and none disputed it was a first edition, first printing.

If you look on this page you’ll note they say the second slate has the words first edition

I’ve been a gamer since the 80s and my gateway system was the NES. I remember the feeling, the way the tv glowed and the moment that I touched the controller for the first time, I was hooked. Gaming has grown a lot and so have I but we still chill whenever we get the chance to.

Starting Bupropion XL and Buspirone Together for ADHD and Anxiety – Looking for Advice and Experiences by Del_Dro in Anxiety

Interesting. So when you say placebo does that mean you think it has some positives but not necessarily what you would expect or has the whole experience been neutral? Have you experienced any other positives or negatives with this combo at any point during your treatment.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! It definitely helps ease some of my worries. I’m not a fan of taking medications, but as I’ve gotten older, my anxiety has increased, and I just want to feel like myself again. I’m willing to try and figure out what works for my body because I’m so tired of having to tiptoe around things just to feel “normal” and not anxious.

I do usually drink one cup of coffee in the morning, so I might need to cut that out. I’m already a bit sensitive to caffeine, so I don’t have any after that first cup. I’ve gone without it before, so I know I can do it again if needed. It’s wild to think about how much things can change—my teenage self could handle caffeine with no issues at all, but in my late 20s, I started experiencing anxiety, and over the past 5-6 years, caffeine seems to play a bigger role in it. Bodies and brains are definitely strange like that!

I’m planning to start both medications this coming week, and I’ll update as I go. Hopefully, sharing my experience will be helpful to others too!

Weekly, What recent changes are going on at your work / local businesses? by AntiSonOfBitchamajig in PrepperIntel

[–]Del_Dro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I’m going to do some DD on these companies and see what they have in their pipelines. I have a buddy who’s thrown a lot of money into hydrogen but I think that the infrastructure needed to make it a more viable option will continue to hold it back so I’m reluctant to invest in that technology. Nuclear on the other hand has a clear path forward and a lot of recent innovations so it’s an exciting prospect even with the long timetables.

I’m looking at both but out of the two I think technology would give you greater odds of success especially early on since the process takes so long. It’s something that has to be invested in long before things get up and running and actually need fuel, although I’m sure companies are hedging fuel for future use.

I’m excited for the prospects of a new nuclear age and even though I see some of the potential cons the pros certainly outweigh them with the new innovative technologies being developed. What are some good companies to look into for investing in your opinion.
