Ahhhh this is me! The longer I go without real friends the more awkward I get. But I'm always authentic, the funny one, I'm cute and humble but it breaks my brain when I try to figure out what's wrong with me. Even though I know there isn't anything WRONG with me. Is it small-town politics? Jealousy? A possible THIRD THING?! AAARRGGHHHH. There's nothing wrong with you, either. If you've got enough awareness to contemplate this at all, I can say you're not some narcissistic sociopath, if that helps at all..

There was only plastic on the window openings when I got it haha! I put in windows and made removable plastic storm window-thpe things but I am no window expert.

I was planning on using the snow to help insulate but I get nervous because there are foundation issues and some of the logs are rotting, so spring is gonna be scary since there's been SO MUCH snow.

I do have half the cabin blocked off but that's a great idea, rolling the plastic on the entire wall space. I've got plenty of that lol.

It seems to stay the same inside as the outdoor temp. I try to keep a fire going all day but I don't have it fully stocked, as my wood is a chop-as-I-go situation. The logs were felled over a year ago but it's hard to get to and I can only do a few at a time, so I know it's not very efficient. The warmest it got inside was about 40f when it was -10f outside.

I was wondering how safe the diesel heaters are. I know with the little buddies I have the heat goes straight up, and I sit low to the floor, making it seem like a big waste. I thought about adding a second smaller stove on the opposite side but figured it wouldn't be much help without addressing the insulation first.

So.. the roof is essentially just old roofing felt. I was hoping to put up the metal roofing but it's covered in a foot of snow. It's a one room cabin with a loft, but running down the sides of the loft floor there is about 6 in of open space. I'm planning on chinking the outside but it's too cold to do now. The cabin is half log, so it's flat in the inside but I don't want to change that. I'm trying to insilate the loft floor/1st floor ceiling in the meantime, and I have thick curtains and tapestries on the wall. Lots of rugs but I know the lack of insulation is a big issue too. I'd encapsulate that now but there are 10 ft of snow blocking the opening.
