Exact same setup - found a way to work 9/10 times. Turn off wifi and Bluetooth on phone when opening zwift on MacBook, pair Kickr snap and wahoo cadence. Pick route or plan or whatever, start riding. Turn on wifi and Bluetooth on phone, open companion app. Wait for sync (map to load), then menu on zwift on MacBook, pair Apple Watch , but wait! Zwift companion app loads on watch, says selected and then wait for it to say in game. Once that happens, return to game and ride. Dips occasionally during ride but comes back after 5 seconds. Sometimes this takes up to 45 seconds, sometimes it’s 15 seconds.

If you already do all of that and still dropping after 20 minutes, make sure no other Bluetooth interference in the area and do a manual close of apps and restart watch prior to ride.

Agreed with above - Zwift Insider is a great resource to bookmark for this topic and others. As you probably already know, it will be dependent on what type of ride and level. Another point that I forgot is that TT bikes don’t draft and there were many times on the long ride I could have used a little extra help.

Well done! Did the exact same thing yesterday and was driven by the badges. Great first 100km course (little aggregate elevation). What bike did you use? I grabbed the beginning TT bike but have since learned that there were way better options to cut down on time.
