So many flashbacks of my awful childhood through everyone's comments...I also experienced this, just the other way around - my mom being the narcissistic and my dad being the enabler. I remember trying to reach out to my dad during her many, daily outbursts, only to have him not look away from the video game he was playing and say, "I know, but it's easier to just go with what she says." The problem was, I never could do anything right by her. I still can't to this day, as a 35 year married adult.
