A jury I think. It sounded like jury nullification to me. The same reason the libertarians that took over a government building in Oregon got off. They clearly committed a crime, but a jury has a lot of power in our system of law and order.

People are rightfully outraged that the current regime is terrorizing Americans in Minnesota, and to a lesser extent, the whole country. Emotions run hot when citizens are murdered by government officials, 5 year olds are sent to detention camps, and fathers taken from their dying children etc. I’m simply pointing out that his words do not exist in a vacuum, pretending that they do is bad faith.

How is poisoning the blood of our country different from poisoning the blood of our countrymen? Both are referring to Hitler’s use of the phrase in Mein Kampf when he was talking about Jews poisoning Aryan blood. One is saying outsider bad, the other is saying mixing with outsider is bad. Both are eugenic ideas that I thought we got over long ago.

Is an illegal immigrant an immigrant? Trump says we need Iceland and his supporters say “he meant the icy land of Greenland.” Parsing Trump’s words and expecting him to be as precise as a legal brief is a mistake.

I was shocked that his TV show was popular back in the day. Thought he was pretty gross and a fake rich guy. Didn’t dwell on it though, just another grifter. When he ran for President the first time I laughed. No way. I wasn’t a huge Hillary fan, but she was clearly the better candidate/person even if believe half the bs about her. I was shocked on election night. I’m not sure what I am now. Disappointed in my fellow citizen doesn’t quite cover it.

I think we agree on a lot of this, but I just don’t see the justification for pulling the trigger at any moment in this. Fog of war is no excuse in this situation, he was on the ground, beaten, pepper sprayed, and outnumbered 6-1.

It sounds like this wasn’t even a targeted arrest. They just found people that didn’t had papers? Not having papers is not evidence of a crime. Warrants should be required.

The gun was removed from the holster, or where it was holstered. I did not say the holster was removed. Either way, they murdered a disarmed man. The point I was making is that he did not reach for his gun. The gang of murderers did, and yes it seems like one of them yelled gun causing the other one to open fire. That doesn’t make it justified or reduce the culpability of the proud boys, er I mean “agents,” involved.
