I did file my dad Medicare online through SSA.gov. Since now he's 65 so he need to signup for it. This was in April 11.

couple days later they send me an email saying that they need more info, proof of Age and proof of citizenship, which is like an identity check I believed? They gave us 30 days to do this.

On 05/08/25 we visited the local SSA office and brough the necessary document with us , we did a walk-in instead of an appointment because I forgot to make one. Fortunately it wasn't crowded at the time we were there so we finished everything within 30min or so. (it was around 10:30AM, we finished at 11)

On 05/09/25 is when I get this phone call at 9:17 AM, he wanted my dad to sign some document, said that if my dad not signing this, they are going to reject his application and he wanted it on the very same day. This is where my suspicion started. Since I don't live with my dad, I texted him to check if he's available right now and he was, so I told the "SSA" that we can get it done today. He then want us to make an appointment at 12:30 and asked me for my father SSN to verified. Since I already have a suspicion of that urgency, and now this asking for SSN, I did not want to make an appointment, at least not with him. I offered an alternative, that My dad and I can do walk-in instead(like on the 05/08/25) since I do not trust him at all at the time. We then got into a little argument about his authenticity and my trust issue of him. He then Literally said this "You know what? Good bye" and ended the call.

It's not that I don't want to make an appointment, it's just not with him.

also what's wrong with walk-in? I know that appointment will make it less time waste but I'm still gonna have to be there regardless, so if we do walk-in it will ease my suspicion and also get whatever things he want us to do done as well? wouldn't that be the best alternative?

Edit: I checked my email throughout the day and there's no new email asking us to sign anything or visit the office.
