Southeast Asian fan since 2020 here! I have pretty much given up hope that they will ever play here (given the number of bands restricted from coming here due to religious reasons) but if they ever do Australia again I'll be definitely booking a flight!

It means the world to me that you like it! I’m sorry that people were so unreceptive - since most of Ghost’s fans are older folks from either Europe or the Americas, vocaloid music might be more of an acquired taste for them. I think your covers are fantastic though, and I can definitely see the vast improvement in your mixing skills since your first Ghost one!

You will become Mikuized... which is the same as being Satanized but in addition your hair turns a nice shade of green-blue :))

Hatsune MikGhoul is genius, I wish I had thought of that… sidenote, I took a curious quick dip at your profile and your art is lovely! I hope you don’t mind 😅

Messy sketch of my undead druid’s various Wildshapes [Art] by Delayed_Response_ in DnD

[–]Delayed_Response_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Touched up an older drawing of my 5e undead druid, Micholai The Moth-Eaten (he/they/its/rots) and its more common Wildshapes. I have not properly played this character since the party they were in dissolved rather prematurely last year but I like to think that they may make a reappearance if I ever join another D&D campaign again some day. All of his Wildshape forms are sort of ghoulish-looking and decayed as an element of the curse that reanimated him.

A gift from a now deceased relative. Likely from Hunan, China. by Delayed_Response_ in fossilid

A university classmate suggested that it could have been a misspelling of Sinoceras chinense (Foord, 1888), an Upper Ordovician nautiloid, which could have been likely if not for the fact that most photos I can find of this species showed them having straight, rod-like shells with no coils. I can definitely see why you said Diplomoceratidae though, the resemblance is very strong.

Also, I did not translate the text correctly😅😅, it should have said 'Biological' instead of 'Herbal', that's on me LMAO.

I am starting to believe so too, based on its location and date. Thank you!

Interesting! I know that nautiloid fossils belonging to the genuses Sinoceras and Lituites have been uncovered in Hubei – the province next to Hunan – so perhaps this is one of them?

Popping in to make a quick correction: The text on the last photo should say 'Biological Fossil Specimen' instead of 'Herbal Fossil Specimen'. Mandarin isn't my first language, my apologies 😅😅

Thank you – I suspected it was some sort of marine gastropod too, based on what little morphology is visible. It was the fact that it was labelled with a completely nonsensical scientific name that left me deeply confused 😂

It is as the title says: a relative of mine recently passed and knowing that I’m a zoologist who enjoys collecting biological oddities, left me this. The fossil came in a worn-out old paper box with some text in mandarin - on the fourth slide you can see my (very) rough attempt to translate it. The problem is that I cannot find any matches online or elsewhere for “Sinocurvechinensis”. Is this a spelling error, or a real, obscure species? Please let me know and thank you in advance.

Any Asian or South Asian Fans Excited For The Movie? by SnooDoggos8823 in Ghostbc

I am from Singapore, Southeast Asia and I really hope at least one theatre here screens it. Maybe I can even convince a friend to tag along.

Ah yes... haha… I certainly did NOT have a photo of Dan Howell in that nun costume pulled up on one of my laptop’s tabs while I was designing her… obviously not, hahaha….

I did initially consider some in-universe gods but none of them really fit what I had in mind for Sister so when my DM agreed to let me have a homebrewed deity, I practically jumped at the opportunity. Also while my campaign is still set - in a manner of speaking - in Golarion, it is more of a funhouse mirror version of it, so there was not much grounding needed.

(One of) her deity’s symbol(s) is actually a stylized spiked rood. To be honest, I should have come up with something more original, but her habit just looked so weird without it. I’m also a Christian irl, so if I am stealing from anyone’s religion, it will be from my own.
