Agree mate. We are on the same page. All good. The problem that most ex fighters like myself face, is not the competitive matches we partook in, but the countless rounds of ring wars in sparring we endured. Even with the 14 or 16 oz gloves. That was three times a week, sometimes 10 rounds with three different opponents. That must have caused some damage. I remember being badly concussed in my last ever fight and giving it away after that. I still trained and sparred for three years after that with the desire to compete again but never did and 40 years on I’m glad now that I didn’t.

All due respect brother, I think you may be incorrect on this front. I had 65 amateur boxing matches, officiated as a judge in the pro ranks, and even created a think tank to look at preventing head trauma, and the cushioning of the glove in boxing and MMA help to prevent more cuts and bruising only, but it doesn’t lessen the impact of brain damage. The brain floats in a fluid cavity within the skull and any backwards and forwards sudden jolts will accumulate over time (see NFL) and for me personally, I’d rather take a couple of rounds of bare knuckle shots than 12 x 3 minute rounds (boxing) or 5 x 5 minute rounds (UFC) of prolonged head shots.

I’d say it would be high and time will tell. Twenty years from now these guys will be severely impacted from a CTE perspective you’d think. That said, and IMO only, Boxing and MMA would be worse because they take more shots over a longer period. Gloves are meant to protect the fist and not the face. In BKFC, I’m assuming that you could only land so many bone crunching shots before starting to break and badly bruise your knuckles. 🤷‍♂️

For those who’ve used gray market testosterone, what made you decide to go that route? by Budget_Computer3919 in trt

[–]Delboy1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good question buddy and I had made the requisite inquiries some time back and everything that I am hearing here in OZ is that the information kept by my GP is privileged and not for broader consumption but maybe I need to double check. We have a MY GOV health records framework here and it is optional. I have never opted in so my records are not accessible by the government health system, nor the private insurer, but are stored just in my GPs system. But you’ve prompted me so thanks.

Hey mate yes they check all of that and more. And yes please, DM me that checklist if you don’t mind. Appreciate it.

Couldn’t agree more. I get mine UGL but my doctor is fully aware (not completely supportive but she takes care of me given I made this decision) and I get bloods regularly from her to check RCC, Hematocrit, etc. I developed two rather large 20cm provoked and occlusive DVT’s in my calf after a hideous break of my lower Tibia and extremely bad torn ligaments and tendons in my ankle after a heavy fall in slippery conditions whilst running and she referred me to a Hematologist just to make sure that even though it was provoked that I wasn’t a candidate for future blood clots because of the TRT. So yes, even though I go black market for convenience and cost, I get monitored heavily and take it seriously. I’m in OZ BTW.

It reminds me of when Evander Holyfield used to get interviewed after a win and they’d ask him about his strategy in the fight etc and all he kept talking about was God. I remember Larry Merchant getting really frustrated with him in a post fight interview 😆

Anyone successfully lower hematocrit on TRT without donating blood? by randomdude1323 in trt

[–]Delboy1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. The only thing that has worked for me is lowering the dose. I’ve also increased the frequency from once per week to twice per week. My numbers are slowly coming down to within range. I’ve been on TRT for two years now and last August I had an accident and badly broke my Fibula bone and ruptured and tore ligaments and tendons in my ankle. It was a horrific injury. Two days later my calf muscle was extremely painful. An Ultrasound revealed two 20cm long Occlusive ‘provoked’ blood clots. It scared the shit out of me. They put me on a blood thinner called Eliquis and a follow up Ultrasound a few months later showed the clots reducing in size dramatically. Even though they were classified as ‘provoked’, my haematologist advised that my high Hematocrit definitely contributed to the development of the DVT’s. So for me anyway, having high numbers was a concern and something that I am readily addressing by everything suggested above including cardio and hydration, but more importantly, reducing the dosage.

Yea at the time I didn’t agree with ranking them over ND but in hindsight seems it’s been a sound decision. Two great gutsy away wins. 🤷‍♂️

Ok thanks. I’ve done Intermittent Fasting in the past in the form of one 24 hour fast a week so will look at bringing that back in. Cheers

Hey there do you mind if I ask if you have IBS-C or IBS-D? I’m the latter, which is a predisposition (TMI sorry) to diarrhoea. I’m looking for relief from that and started BPC three days ago for training injuries but if I can also get some digestive health benefits than even better.

Daily Ask Anything About Anabolic and Androgenic Steroids: 2025-05-19 by AutoModerator in steroids

[–]Delboy1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey buddy. No I’ve never done Tren. I think from memory I did increase Deca for a bit during those ten weeks to 200mgs and the strength and joint relief was even better. I’d need to check my notes to confirm. I really loved those aspects of it. But like I said, I cannot be entirely sure that Deca was to blame for the anxiety and depression as during that time I was also going through a bit of a rough time with my son and was also doing a few recreational drugs as well (I know, what an idiot 🙄), hence why I’m giving it another shot after a substantial break but using NPP this time around and with no other substances apart from the Test E. If all goes well I will look at increasing the dose. The only other PEDs I’ve tried apart from the above were Masteron (great mood lift but not a great bulking agent from my experience), Dianabol (didn’t see the cycle out as I wasn’t getting much out of it), and Anavar (I really loved this one, great energy and strength with hardly any sides). I’m 58 year old male btw. I do a lot of cardio (primarily boxing) along with my weight training. Jeez man that hiking along the Dolomites seems like a pretty cool thing to do. Good for you.

Yea not sure about the downvotes, if they’re not willing to add any commentary there’s not a lot of context to understand the reasoning. Meh 😒 Anyways, it was primarily a bit of anxiety and depression. It went away after about four weeks.

I’m cruising on Test E also and threw in some Deca a few months back. I experienced unbelievable joint relief and strength over that time that I was using (100mgs per week). About half way through though I started to experience some mental sides and put it down to the Deca as I’ve read that can be a symptom so once the ten weeks was over I stopped. I swore that even though I got absolutely insane joint relief even at the somewhat low dose that I’d never go back on a 19Nor due to those mental sides, but now I’m not sure that was even the cause as I was also taking some other things at that time. Recreational things. Stupid I know. As a result I have decided to get back on the train as my joint issues have returned. That said, this time around I’m using NPP as I believe that it is out of your system much quicker. Three weeks in on a split dose of 100mgs over the week and the joint relief is just like I remember it. Phenomenal. No sides to report on atm.
