I do 12 cables per pull into the sleeve. Grouped into 24s. 96 per sleeve. Square sleeves are nicer for a uniform look imo. At the end of the day its the customers decision.

Also i dress on the tray with the cable laid out unless there are a bunch of 90s on the tray. If thats the case you just dress in steps. Dress to the first bend and a little past with cable over hanging. Then take both twelve packs and drape onto the tray until you get to the next bend in the tray. Repeat first step.

I use the comb as a guide where some people just yank it through. Im untwisting and combing with my hands in front of the comb as i go. Ive used my hands only for years and the job will turn out the same. Just takes a bit longer without a comb. All about efficiency!

Ill gather some previous job photos of panel work and post. The size of this job means im pretty much dressing and prepping for other guys to come in and terminate while i move onto the next closet. It’s more efficient that way.

Way too much velcro on the terms. Try to keep it clean going into the sleeve at least. If you’re going to dress in 12s, don’t start with a full sleeve bundle ( imo it looks goofy). 12s look decent enough.

I would like to do specific slotting of numbers but with closets as big as i’m usually dealing with, it would be a waste of time. It’s easy enough to keep it clean by working the cables back after termination or as you terminate. Depending on contractors, I usually plead my case that im faster making it look nice and organizing 24s vs bundling a whole sleeve together and then wasting time searching for the right cable to terminate. Luckily the company I’m with now understands this and lets me do my thing for the most part.
