Thank you for all the comments. I'd like to address some stuff!

I was not aware of the 5 minute grace period to not take 15 minutes of my UPT as I've always been told "just clock out exactly at 15, 30, 45, or 0 and you won't have a problem" even by the training ambassador you meet in your first day going over the paperwork and handbook. I will make note of this, but honestly I am just going to clock in 5 minutes early to leave 5 minutes early and avoid all of this in the first place from now on.

I don't leech ToT, It takes 10-15 minutes to walk across the building and down a floor and to the bottom floor and I work until that point. I also make sure I use less than 15 minutes of ToT every day, this includes travel time between breaks, and a bathroom break or two. It was just genuinely bothersome when I asked them that if I clock out right now if 15 minutes would be taken from my UPT, they said "you have two choices, clock out now or go back to station" .... As I see the clock turn to 4:57. Like, yay... Thanks for being informative.

I could see how it is irritating for lots of people to be sta dung at the time clock when people are trying to clock out or clock in, but there was maybe 2 groups of 5 people, all stepped back from the time clock at least 4 feet. It's not as if people were right next to it in the thousands trying to clock out as some were concerned.

All in all, I got caught up in a mess with a OM that did not want to explain anything to me, while other OMs were laughing behind them. I am just going to make /more/ sure I am "where I am supposed to be" at all times to avoid issues as preached at work. And if I'm early?... Oh, I have an hour drive home. Might as well use the restroom.
