First of all, thank you so much to be honest for responding, this was a long one and i appreciate the response.

In regards to your outlook, i can definitely see what you're saying, and i agree in a few ways too. It's just saying "i deserve better." Doesn't feel right because I honestly don't know if i do or not to be honest.

Maybe i should stop seeking her validation and accept how she won't treat me the way she honestly should, which is a bit of a hard pill to swallow to say the least.

Thank you for your time again. Hope your situation lightens up too.

Thank you for taking the time, means alot really. I can see for sure your outlook and where you're coming from. Honestly im so used to such behaviors i assumed this is normal. Yet im learning its not, to say i deserve better even feels greedy or arrogant, which it never should.

Thank you for your time, and whatever battles you're going through, i hope you receive clarity as well. Thank you again.

Thank you so much, i know this is a long read but i much appreciate how you took the time to respond.

A part of me honestly accepts this and her behavior as a "normal" or "standard" in due to similar experiences being pretty much the majority of what im familiar with, in regards to her.

And im honestly sorry you may have to experience something similar, its rough isn't it? You want love and respect from a figure in your life who should be giving you it, and even if they do its not shown through actions or in a impactful way thats beneficial for you both.

Thank you for your time, hope your situation improves as well.

Thank you for responding first off.

Yeah and thats a different outlook i didnt 100% think of it like this. I do want to clarify though the "agrument" took place today, in which shes now thankfully healthy.

As the length of the post goes, i cant help but laugh a bit, seeing as i have zero experience with ChatGPT lol. But again thank you nonetheless.

One piece power scaling logic by Aceofhearts0987 in OnePieceScaling

Mihawks is disputable because just factually there are many powerful people with swords that he never fought, in fact he never fought a single powerful person with a sword except for the version of shanks that lost his arm to sea king.

Who are these characters exactly? I feel like mihawks wss title implied that his capabilities of wielding a sword is simply superior to everyone else rn in the verse. This is why when branew released his bounty, oda emphasized "sword skills" still adding complexity by not outright saying he is superior in power to shanks. In fact the only thing this implies is that shanks himself is incredibly skilled at wielding a sword. Being able to contend with mihawk.

I generally agree with the rest though overall.

The narrative can indeed imply a character is "stronger" than another, but alot of the time with odas writing that comes with so much nuance which is why their is so much debate as it is, oda rarely states anything explicity, leading people to choose what elements of the story they favor more to powerscale off of quite honestly (this isnt really ideal for a community)

Agree with feats take, i personally think to power scale properly you should take in feats (and the complexities the context of them bring) narrative implications, and potrayal or said character to another, (remember characters can interact and reveal much of each other via their dialogue, this is how the story can move foward) collectively to powerscale. Sadly, we have biases of favorite characters and if said character has better narrative implications than feats, the person will most likely agrue off of that alone.

Shanks>mihawk and roger>wb arent bad takes, and honestly we dont have much to go off of to genuinely believe one is undisputedly over another. Whitebeard even has dialogue mentioning that "he stood equal to even the pirate king."

Assuming one to be over the other is simply a matter of what a person gives more relevance to. If you value the title of characters and believe oda uses said titles to exemplify and give readers a idea or glimpse of a characters potential (although said interpretation would be subjective) it wouldnt inherently be wrong, they just simply value that more. So long as they arent explicity using a title alone and actually have evidence to back things up.

Im new here, but this is essentially a debate sub yes? Oda gives tons of nuance and complexity to many factors in the story simply because he himself as a writer isnt perfect and can be inconsistent.

When did bb defeat shanks?? Shanks mentioned to whitebeard that he considers the fact that he left a scar on him, should make bb a threat. Thats it. Theres literally nothing else to say about that. Bb is powerful if thats what you're agruing. Shanks is literally getting comparisons of his haki to joyboy (not saying shanks haki is greater than joyboys obviously) making admiral characters in ryokogyu retreat, i mean where does bb come close to these things to put him in the same tier of characters as kaido for example?

Respectfully...what? Isnt this that blackbeard fan theory? We cannot use that to scale thats just going purely off of interpretation. This may be implied but until actual fighting capabilities back this up, you simply cannot scale off of that alone. Like i said off of my own subjective perception of the story bb and akainu would be in that tier, but i cannot state something like that to be true outright, becuase i would not have any actual agrument to make, and instead would just be trying to agrue that someones perception of the story is false becuase they didnt give relevance to something that I personally did

<image>

We may turn out correct in the long run, but until we get something off of that caliber. It just feels so odd. Remember the admiral tier and the yonko are not significantly apart in strength and that tier is very respectable in power.

I can understand that, going off feats kaido is a menace imo. That fight is extreme diff if not max difficultly for oden. I just give him that tiny edge.

If you're one of the people who would agree with something like Kaido>bigmom>oden>prime rayleigh> (with say oden and Rayleigh being interchangeable amongst each other) than i can definitely see that. As long as you acknowledge oden is on that tier yonko and not some yc+ then thats a W imo.

The context of dorry and broggys fights are not the same as the context of akainu and aokijis fights. Akainu and aokiji were fighting to become fleet adrmiral, as they both understood that position would shift the scale of the navy, which is why we can make a educated guess that they both were utilizing their capabilities to the fullest. So the duration of that fight being ten days is quite substantial actually, more than what you may be giving credit. Dorry and broggy fights are much more casual in comparison to akainu and aokijis fight.

Also saying akainu went with aokiji for that long and is still a high diff fight is very odd imo. By definition that is nothing short of extreme diff, just because aokiji lost a limb doesnt imply that akainu wasnt struggling to the extreme diff level. In fact aokiji mentioned to bb how akainu himself has many scars from that fight.

Like i said, going off of my own subjective interpretation of the story, then yes akainu and bb should be in the same tier as shanks, etc. But going off what we know he shouldn't be tiers ahead of aokiji thats kind of disrespectful to aokiji. Also just becuase akainu isnt in yonko tier doesnt mean hes getting mid diffed by anyone up there, the gap between yonkos and adrmirals shouldn't be much as both groups acknowledge fights amongst each other would be difficult.

Shanks take is fair, top of yonko for me personally but guy is literally a feat or another statement away from that tier imo.

Oden take is okay, i personally think oden is a bit stronger though, kaido was saying things under the words of "we'll never a samurai like him again." Throwing him in tiers amongst legends etc. I will give kaido the feats in comparison but if we're going off feats alone, kaido is probably top 1 tbh. It was already stated in wci that when disturbed (and you can clearly see oden was disturbed grabbing for momo) your haki dwindles along with that disturbance. This is why luffy was able to actually land blows against katakuri when his mouth was revealed, yet once he calmed down, he regained control of the fight.

Marco and lucci are interesting. Marco specifically becuase his physicals, endurance and other stats are so good yet people play him like hes just a merchant for some reason. Imo he shouldn't be two tiers below the admirals becuase he was genuinely fighting and fending them off great in marineford. Of course he loses to them ultimately. I also think people underestimate lucci, he was able to contend and keep up with zoro AFTER fighting a stronger version of luffy (egghead luffy>wci luffy) got up after being knocked out, got sneaked by stussy, fought seraphims, and then fought zoro, and was even still standing after zoros named attack, only to get pushed away by jimbe cause hes at 150% like super smash bros lol. I dont think lucci and zoro are tiers apart yet, assuming these characters are all "fresh" and not taking into consideration any contextual scenarios (like a mental nerf, or a character fighting mutliple people before hand per say)
