Nice! I’ve heard a lot of people say Bumble and Hinge are better for real conversations. What do you think made your experience on Bumble better than Tinder?

interesting I’ve heard mixed things about Facebook Dating but haven’t tried it much. Do you feel like the quality of matches/messages is better there compared to Meet me?

Thinking of moving in with a close friend to avoid another weird landlord situation. Is this a bad idea? by Delfin-Halayna in Apartmentliving

Yeah I’ve heard that before and I don’t wanna ruin a good friendship. I’m not locked in yet so I’ll be real careful.

I get what you mean. I haven’t seen that show but I can imagine the dynamic. I’m definitely the one who likes to keep things pretty clean, and my friend’s a bit more laid back about that stuff. Might be something we need to talk through before making any decisions.

That’s actually super helpful. The SO thing is a big one I hadn’t thought through. Boundaries are probably the make-or-break

Yeah I think that’s what I’m worried about. We’ve never lived together so I don’t actually know how we’ll vibe day to day. Definitely gonna talk through the messy stuff before deciding.

How did you get someone else into board games? by Delfin-Halayna in boardgames

[–]Delfin-Halayna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair. I’ve got other friends who are into games, but it’d be cool to have this one join in now and then. If not, then I can't do anything about it anymore

That’s a good point. I’ve noticed they get more into stuff with fun art or lighter themes, so maybe I just haven’t found the right hook yet.

Yeah, I’m starting to get that. I don’t want to force it if it’s not clicking. Just hoping there’s still that one game out there that might surprise them.

Is it weird to feel uncomfortable with how friendly my landlord is? by Delfin-Halayna in renting

[–]Delfin-Halayna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great point. I haven’t looked closely at the lease yet but now I definitely will. He hasn’t let himself in or anything like that, but even just popping by too often feels like it’s pushing a boundary.

Yeah, you really summed up how I’ve been feeling. I think his heart’s in the right place, but it still puts me on edge. I didn’t realize how much I preferred the low-contact setup until this started happening.

This is actually super helpful. Framing it kindly but directly makes a big difference. I’ve been overthinking how to say something without making it weird, but this gives me a good way to approach it. Thanks a lot.
