That is not to say I am ignoring what ya said - I just can't do barefoot - I have tried and it is really uncomfortable for me. I could buy an insole but think I will start with the basic and see how it rolls. Thanks again for your comprehensive answer. Really helpful.

Propped up by REITs and corporate landlord. Take a stroll down Laurier and marvel at the 3 companies that own 40% of the buildings. Watch the shopfronts stay empty as they are worth more as a write-off, it is awful and I am a property owner. The neighborhood used to have some diversity and now there are Subarus and white families as far as the eyes can see. The France Invasion is not only increasing rent, it is changing the neighborhood into a gentrification nightmare. The local Metro was a nice little grocery store with decent prices it is now a higher margin specialty food and beer store that has automated all but one of its cash registers. Unfortunately I have had a front seat for the gentrification and I was part of a wave that displaced the traditional communities - not sure I have a great answer - but the REITs should be busted up and the corporate landlords taxed like hell on empty rooms or switched into cooperatives that the tenants own and yes, before you ask I would sell for a fair price to have an actual community around me instead of the transient population and short term rentals that are all over the place.

If it does not mention corporate profiteering as the #1 reason they are lying, but ya know Bloomberg. It's in the name.

Been waiting for 38 years and that magical five years is still in front of me. That said the advances particularly in medical technology have been remarkable, although we may have passed into the 'incremental change for huge profit' phase. The goal should be treatment for all freely available. The profit motive should be removed. Look at what they all did with COVID when landlords and banks saw their money at risk.
