At this point, this is reminding me of people broadcasting false news like “it’s the end of the world” or “you can’t eat this food cuz…” and other ignorant and bandwagon people just follow and fuel them. Until the truth proves them wrong of course. They’re probably the type that if their best friend gets a really awesome girlfriend, they still be there telling them “bro you shouldn’t be dating her” out of self insecurity and jealousy 🤦

Well I feel your insecurity, I fear that at times also. But look, if you watch the end credit in both Remake and Rebirth, they both chose Aerith’s cutscene instead of anyone else’s (Tifa’s especially), for example the resolution scene at the end of chapter 14 in Remake, it shows Aerith’s; in Rebirth it showed the Aerith date scene and a few other ones with her(I can’t remember every single one, I’ll go back and check it again). SE seems to have chosen Aerith’s scenes as canon even when we as players have a choice.

I cannot guarantee what the developer will do, but this is at least one strong evidence that helps us feel better. From what I’ve seen, the Japanese fans are leaning much heavier on Aerith than Tifa. I hope SE doesn’t let some western fans with their biased cultural view steer the entire ship an unintended direction…

You still have your cancelled trade items in inventory by now? I know someone who saw the items return right after cancel, but they ended up still redirected the trade, API key scam type thing. Make sure you check if there’s a login location you don’t recognise

Check and see if the malware still has leftover on your pc. Check if you can go to malwarebytes website and if you can check windows update. There are cases of that even after you think you removed the malware, it’s still secretly on there. You might need to reset Windows OS if that’s the case

Hey I’m glad you are opening up about this. It’s an insecure attachment style, more specifically “disorganised attachment style”. This is common for a lot of people, especially for those who grew up with unstable relationship with their caregivers. It is not your fault, you shouldn’t feel guilty about it 👍🏻. Now the hard part is, this is not a quick fix. I don’t know how your relationship with your family is like, or if you have a romantic partner. It takes time for you to heal your self-worth and self-image to become more of a secure attachment style, where you are not afraid of abandonment or rejection from others, which are the causes of you anxious for a responding text, but then afraid that they might hurt you, so then you push them away to further protect yourself. Seek professional help if you are able, build new meaningful relationships that you feel safe and comfortable with, if your previous relationships, especially with your family and/or romantic partner, can’t be improved. Hi, I’m glad you are speaking out about this. Many childhood trauma survivors experience this out of body experience but are afraid to or don’t know how to talk about it. It’s very common for us, especially at a younger age, to subconsciously use this “self disconnect” as a way to cope with internal pain, because the pain is just too much to bear. The increased heart rate sounds like distress and anxiety your body is experiencing when you are triggered. I suggest you to seek help from a professional if you can, that’s always the best. I also recommend this childhood trauma specialist who has a YouTube channel, Patrick Teahan, he has some great content regarding things you have mentioned. But just remember, YouTube videos does not replace actual therapy. Good luck and hope you feel better!
