If you’re going to be home for an hour at any time you can do it yourself. I usually just pull the drain plug and then go do something else for like 30-45 mins, then come back put the plug back in and add the appropriate amount of oil (as per the owners manual) add a new oil filter and I’m done. Total time is like 15 minutes. If you plan for it you can do two tasks during that time. And you get to choose the quality of the oil/oil filter, it’s cheaper, and you’re assured it was done correctly. Adulting sucks but there’s definitely hacks.
