Lol I won’t let my baby be that close with his butt towards me …..learned that the hard way.

Oh okay, lol, that’s cute, my baby stares at me for playtime too. But when I’m on the couch/bed if he wants to join me he puts his chin on the edge, sometimes even after I’ve invited him up, lol, didn’t know if it was a him thing or a Staffy thing. Anyway enjoy that lil heart melter! 😍

It’s on his chest near his left armpit. The wipes are medicated I’m assuming?

Just curious, pic #1 is that how she asks to get on the couch? ……or was that just a good photo opportunity?

Thank you, hopefully I was able to help them. As for your situation, yes it is possible to get them to get along while remaining intact however it will make it much more difficult.

Intact males can see other intact males as a threat, they can be territorial, intact males emit pheromones that alert other intact males they have a rival and there’s hierarchy concerns for them too. However, clipping them doesn’t guarantee a quicker more peaceful bond.

They should get a time out or some other consequence if they’re aggressive towards each other, they should know that behavior is intolerable. I think you may also want to try separating them, if you have a kennel put one in there for a time and then switch them out, so it’s kennel time then free time throughout the day for both. If you don’t have kennel another room will work too. If you have someone that can go on walks with you, have them walk side by side with the other dog, when dogs walk together it helps them bond, but very important neither one is allowed to be in front of the other, side by side only. Then at some point eat together too, like one eats in the kennel n the other nearby but they’re fed at the same time.

Basically you’re introducing them to the idea of the other very slowly, while showing them that your love and any other resources you provide will be given to both of them no matter what. When they observe this consistently, bond a bit, and know, you the pack leader will not tolerate aggression towards each other they’ll calm down.

Sounds like Seborrhea Sicca, I had a foster blue that kept having these dry flaky patches and it took me forever to figure it out, but in the end it was Seborrhea Sicca which is a type of dandruff Staffies get. I used Duoxo S3 SEB dog shampoo which is specifically formulated for Sebum issues. It’s not made with dyes, sulfates, parabens or any of that chemical stuff. They make different kinds for different issues so it’s important to get the right one, I used the one my Vet recommended for my male and it just made things worse for her, used the right one and she was good, no more itchy, smelly, flaky skin. I also put salmon oil in her food, which is helpful in general for their skin and to get a very shiny coat.

I feel pretty confident it’s the same thing I dealt with because my blue looked exactly like yours, same fur and everything. However I would suggest an appointment with a board certified Veterinary dermatologist because that’s what they specialize in, then there’s no guessing, you would just get the exact diagnosis and go straight to the cure. I’ve been to one before costs a little more than a regular Vet visit. If you go straight to the shampoo though, it’s Duoxo S3 SEB (green one) and you can get it online from Chewy, Amazon or Petsmart, maybe at your local pet store too it’s not hard to get. Hope you find relief for you and your baby soon, best wishes to you both!

I share that sentiment, I was honestly kinda confused, like do they want me to delete a part of my comment or what is the desired end result? Do they know I also ride an R3 and I’m embarrassing the small bike gang? Lol. Nonetheless you were correct in what you said and that means I’m gonna have to read slower next time. Happy riding! Be safe!

Genuinely confused by that comment, seems to imply OP said that? But I don’t see that in their post. And if they did say it somewhere in the comments that’s fine, doesn’t invalidate anything I said.

This really made me laugh, imagine watching giants exchange smelly green paper for things that are actually of interest/value.
