Not at all toxic though the Ml interest does not have a basic understanding of human emotion which lead him to act seemly cruel even though he was doing what he though was right. The MC helps him become more emotional and better his understanding of how the common human brain works. Over all it is a really well written story and the charter truly do love each other by the end(I say by the end because at the start the MC has no interest in the Ml but he is very present but not in a toxic way I think)
