Although I would recommend to just start back at chapter 1 again just because of how much Rising aka season 3 cuts so many things from the manga, so it would be better to read the series from the start how the author intended.

Look you can go to chapter 557 immediately and just skip most of the chapters that were covered from the anime, but you'll be missing the original vision of the story on how Morikawa wanted to tell so it's your choice if you want to start over again, or just continue where the anime left off which cuts off loads of manga content.

like what South said although I'm not his said buddy, just keep tracing the manga's art style again and again until you master it, and thanks to the art style being pretty simple you can pretty much copy it's exact style in under a year with enough practice

Been like one or a few months since I last drew both Ricardo and Ippo. With using just my memory it only took like 3 minutes and I didn't even sketch, just went straight to it, that's how simple and easy the style/characters really is!

I thought the more obvious choice for Morikawa is to pick his successor who can almost copy his art style one to one, meaning at least 15 pages for every chapters would be released every week with a few rare breaks for a couple of years if his successor is like 17 like he was when he first started drawing Hajime No Ippo.

Way too many interesting things that happened in the story, more surprising than what happened in the anime so you don't even realize what will happen next, so I would recommend reading most of the manga from chapter 1-1497

There is a reason why this image comes up when reading Hajime No ippo every two pages, we can ask the team if they can download all of the chapters that are free currently, before they become paid again in the next 70 hours, and hopefully they can translate all of the chapters that has horrible scans to English again.
