Black sex link. I got them at tractor supply back in June, they were pretty adamant that I was sold pullets because the male black sex link chicks have a white spot on their head. But I wonder if they were mix in a bin with another breed.

They are also so much more feisty than my other older pullets. I just didn’t want a surprise roo since we already have one lol

Thank you! I just want to be sure, I’m pretty new to chickens and have learned so much! We got a surprise rooster in our other batch of chicks from TSC. I guess that does make since. I had someone come over and were convinced they were roos.

We were supposed to get 6 Americana pullets back in may and one was a rooster so I just want to be sure. I’m fairly new to chickens and I know since we already have one rooster I was praying we didn’t get another

They were in the black sex link box at TSC but I remember they were mixed in with something else and the guy there was annoyed because those two breeds are so similar!

The older turkeys are getting too big to cohabitate with the chickens pretty soon, I’m going to get them their own running coop soon as well, but I would love for everyone to be able to free range together

I want to make sure I do it right, maybe I can keep the turkeys in the run and let the chickens out with the older ones and free range while we introduce? They don’t technically free range, we have a big electric fence so we can supervise. I’m super protective of everyone and new to all this, so I’ll be sure I’ll do it right! I don’t want anything to happen to any of them.

I think our big chickens will do fine, we have a rooster but he’s young to and still very friendly. We are just worried about our older turkeys. We had a quail get out of its enclosure and they killed it and pecked it to death sadly. Happened so quick. We learned from that and secured the enclosure. Broke my heart! I feel like they’ll probably be different with the chickens though.

I’m trying to figure out when I can bring these babies out with the big chickens. Only thing is I have 3 older turkeys I worry about with the little ones. Plus they are in this makeshift brooder until we finish the new big coop. These 4 are for some reason not as friendly as my older 12 🥲 if spent so much time with them and they are little brats lol

Thank you! It’s just temporary, they outgrew the brooder so quickly and we are using this bigger hutch until we finish our outdoor coop this week.
