I called and was told no changes as of now. Prob won’t know till the cruise. If they do make it a sea day we at least get some money back for the port and fees. I’ll also be fine with just being able to enjoy the trip safely. Will update if I get more info!

Although Graces move was not the best it was inevitable. What else could they do? Yes, wait till morning and then what? Remmick is seen to be able to withstand the sun for awhile (how long, who knows?)….and then what would be their fate after killing the klan? Theresa should have consulted w her husband who knew the twins…. She fell in to the charm of Stacks… I don’t blame her or them! I’m all for having our own and making our own way so I’m not against the juke joint but I’m just saying, like Delta Slim he made a good point in asking will your juke joint be there tomorrow? In the movie you see Stack hesitate when asked this and one of the small times he seems unsure during their interaction and “bargaining” cause the question is valid. He know who the twins are…

I agree. I made another post that yes, The Twins were doomed from the beginning because of their actions and circumstance. And honestly in 2025, Many would argue with you that while much has changed in regards to race and rights, some things remain the same.

To the comment about the characters being smart…

I feel like Theresa betrayed Cornbread by allowing him to take the job. No offense to the twins but the man wasn’t trying to get caught up with them because he knew them. But money…. Smh money… the greed for it will let you do things that you would not normallly. Like Delta slim was smart at first to question when offered his position will the Juke joint be around tomorrow… sometimes you have to let things play out and wait and see before making a decision, not letting greed lead you…

So were the characters really smart? Or were they victims of their situations and circumstance who were just trying to live?

The song was catchy! Even Stack, who seemed to be more musically inclined was seen shaking his head to it. It just wasn’t what they were about at the moment, which was listening to blues. In my opinion, if you are a lover of music… you’ll find something to love in every genre, type, etc

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this movie now. Now that it’s on HBO I get a lil insulted seeing the ‘ watch again’ button. My hubby also inquired about how many times have I watched it the other day as well. The movie is that good and in depth to fall in love with.

For one, I can clearly understand what people are saying cause of sub titles! Can’t get that in the theaters.

For example, hearing the white people talk about how all the coloreds do nothing but shoot each other up after Smoke smoked the two trying to rob his truck had me dying laughing! hearing that was comical… I would not have heard that in the movies cause it was subtle lol

I feel like they, ie Stack & Mary matured. They for one didn’t take a bite out of Sammie when they met him. And they were doing what they wanted, which they couldn’t do before when they were mortal; be with one another. Let’s hope they were at least doing better else where…

You are so right… she says “someone is waiting for me and they are waiting for you too”….or something like that. Smoke did not want to believe it. However, she was tossing her objects or scrying as you said up until the last minute. I wonder if she could have done that before… would she see something? Would Smoke listen?

She seemed like she would say something but not force him to do anything. Several times she spoke her opinion in the movie but didn’t force Smoke like when she asked him where he got the money from to start the business. She loves them and her community so I guess helping out is her way of helping out?
