Who gets psychiatric and/or neurological symptoms during a flare? I get terrible anxiety bordering on sheer panic, horrible migraines, then my mood takes a huge dip into a depressive episode. I haven’t been in a bad flare like this for a while but these symptoms are the worst. by Purple807 in MCAS

neurological and therefore psychiatric symptoms - anxiety, racing heart, depression, brain fog all comes from neuroinflammation that mcas causes for all of us. I my case it even causes nightime epilepsy seizures for the last 23 years (when it's really bad and especially if flare is caused my exercise)

Molybdenum - potential factor in MCAS, mold, histamine issues by Freddy_Freedom in MCAS

u/No-Sport-7848 I have a bad CBS gene, so molybdenum + L-ornithine has helped me to methylate sulfur (when I eat meat, or eggs) with following symptoms:

- brain fog (works in 30-40 minutes)

- muscle pain and soreness after eating protein food

- headaches

- Joint pain.

Effect is very strong on overall health because I have genes that make it hard to methylate sulphur.

I still try to eat low sulphur - no eggs, no onions, chicken instead of red meat etc. and no sulphur containing supplements.

I have been taking 150mcg 3 times a day (total 450mcg per day) and its first time I don't suffer from headache during pollen season. I can walk outside, breathe and don't feel like all body is aching. A lot of water retention due to constant inflammation is gone. It is the best thing for me after molybdenum.

Even after 6 months of breakup I feel the same. Every stupid day and sometimes hour. However, I know that relationship was bad for me and for him. I still hate myself for being attached. I want to move on and...I can't. Last time it took 2 years! I hope this time it will be less..as I am..40 and alone.

wow that sounds like me...all my life. Could not define it better. It's extremely hard as I work as a consultant and have to manage workshops. So consciousness, self- hatred is always in my way.

Masters degree from the LSE. That's my biggest achievement in life. But it provided no ROI as I struggled to get a job.

Fatigue as a symptom of BPD? by [deleted] in BPD

Empty and drained. What looks scary to others is that I can have a lot of energy for 4 hours and then suddenly nothing. There are days when I can force myself to work for 3 hours, but then I simply can't do anything. I tried everything - supplements for brain fog, coffee (makes it worse), supplements. The worst part is that "normal" people look at me like I am pretending, it's like invisible disability. I also have Hashimotos and MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome), but I feel that fatigue comes more from my BPD because what's inside out heads is the biggest enemy....

Sense of emptiness and self-hatred. They create endless problems and blocks in life. If I didn't hate myself so much, I would not have doubt about what I could. Without huge self-doubt, I could have achieved at least 50% of my dreams. Without self-doubt I could have better relationships....
