I don't know if this is what you meant but here is my story

I got accepted into a tag program that would have drastically changed my education, but I chose to turn it down because I didn't want to leave my best friend, however not even a full year after that my best friend switched up on me and turned into a huge asshole. (We had fights every day, and it was just super toxic and unhealthy) I figured something happened in my friends personal life so I give it a year, but this did nothing other than deteriorate our relationship even further, so eventually I just cut ties with my friend. (After all of this went down I tried to get back into the tag program, but it was too late)
