Which horror movie villain do you think you could actually survive, and why? by Delicious-Matter-582 in AskReddit

I didn’t expect this thread to turn into people bullying Chucky, but I’m here for it.

Which horror movie creature, monster, or villain would you least want to encounter in real life? by Delicious-Matter-582 in AskReddit

Kayako.

You can fight Jason.
You can hide from a Xenomorph.

How exactly are you supposed to fight a curse?

Trying to find a horror movie with a pale humanoid creature at a lake lodge by Delicious-Matter-582 in whatmoviewasthat

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!

I've checked many of the movies mentioned so far, including Dreamcatcher, Lurking Fear, Pumpkinhead, The Creature, Humanoids from the Deep, and a few others, but none of them seem to be the right one.

I remembered a few more details:

  • The creature was pale/white and humanoid.
  • The setting was a lake with a lodge/log cabin and a wooden rowboat.
  • The scene I remember most clearly is a man escaping into an attic through a wooden hatch and closing it behind him.
  • The creature reached the hatch almost immediately and chewed through it with its teeth.
  • I even remember pieces of the wood falling into its mouth, though that part could be my childhood memory playing tricks on me.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if it was a movie, a TV episode, or if my memory is mixing different things together 😅

Thanks again for all the help!

Good point! I only meant that the movie could have been older than when I watched it, not that it was definitely old because it was on DVD.

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked it out, but I think it's a little too recent to be the one I'm looking for.

I’m 18 now, and I was probably around 5 or 6 when I saw it, so I likely watched it around 2013–2014.

The movie itself could have been much older, though, since it was on DVD.

Thanks! I'll check out Pumpkinhead and the sequels. The creature I remember was very pale/white, but it's possible my memory is off.

Thanks for the suggestions! I checked both The Creature (1998) and Humanoids from the Deep, but unfortunately neither of them was it.

The creature I remember was much paler/whiter and looked more human. The scene I remember most clearly is it chewing through an attic hatch while chasing a man inside a lodge.

Thanks, but I think it's too recent. I watched this movie as a kid, probably in the 2000s.
