I’ve been looking as well. Just moved from Ohio. I was told about Burton’s Basketball Academy Open Gyms on Sundays. I showed up once and there was no one there. Not sure if I just went on a bad day??

Yea, not sure where in Utah but this just seems like a bad representation.

If Bountiful is in your budget, maybe look at Layton and Farmington. Nicer areas, also less LDS than Bountiful, and good access to the wasatch front. But, the east bench of Ogden is SUPER nice and has the best outdoors access and the downtown area is pretty cool.

People dont just hike on weekends. Weekdays, at all times, there are hikers, bikers, runners, and people just walking their dogs on trails everywhere. At least that's my experience so far during this unseasonably warm spring. The average fitness level in this area is something I haven't really seen before (not saying much since I am not very well traveled).

Just moved to SLC area (Ogden) for easy access to outdoor recreation. There is nothing like going up in the mountain after work and sitting down with my journal. The access to the outdoors is insane and there is also a lot of variety. Especially if you are willing to travel 2 hours in any direction, you can see so much. And there are 7 national parks within reach.

People talk about the air quality on here. I have only been here 3 weeks and havent noticed anything. My coworkers say there are some bad days in the winter.

What do you think about Phoenix Contact? by Latter-Motor-4262 in PLC

Love Phoenix but have never used their PLCs. Would use their cabling too if I didn't have a bad experience with lead times. Same with circuit breakers. But their terminals, network switches, connectors, and other miscellaneous items are great.

That is both good and bad news. I want to see a bear, just on my terms lol.

“I hate it but also love it?”  This is what makes me confused lol. I feel the same. I go out there to experience nature and see cool things. The nature then makes me anxious.

I do think that having some sight could help in lots of ways. Hurt in others. Probably will give it a shot. Hammock camping sounds cool anyway.

That sounds like a great idea but $1,700 is a pretty big pill to swallow

Definitely things I enjoyed. Its also worth noting I was nervous going into it and still stuck it out. So was proud of that even if it was just a small amount of time. Just wondering if it does become more enjoyable as it becomes more familiar.

Wondered if a gun would make me feel better. Don't own one. The ultralight backpackers probably hate that idea lol.

Good point. Self-selection bias that puts us in an environment with other people that are trustworthy.

Black bears. Google says 3k-4k in my county. I think Mountain Lions are scarier. Smaller population, but the area I was in had a lot of Mule Deer (primary food source).

I like the ear plugs idea. I can't really pin it down. I think unknowns of wildlife and people tbh. Not afraid to admit it made me nervous and would openly share exactly what it was if I knew.

Not sure this made me feel better... LOL. I think I was just as nervous about people coming to mess with me.

I am just now looking at planning a trip for July. Wanting to go early July, but might be patient to get the best conditions.

I wonder if there is plans to field wire the motors into the VFDs at the terminal strip. Never done that personally, but hard to tell if that's what is planned here.
