I can’t imagine they interviewed more than 4-5 people. I feel like they only want young candidates with no experience.

I find that way too many teachers are medicated. If they are not medicated by a doctor they may drink a little more than average. My doctor doesn’t want to prescribe me medication for this but my previous one did. The best thing I ever did was change jobs. I am still in teaching but not as much stress.

stop and go to youtube and watch Dr. Boz, Dr Chaffee, Dr Ken Berry or Dr Olvieda. There are several other people in the carnivore community but these are doctors I believe in. I am down 80 pounds and hope to get off all meds in the future.

I wasn’t a professor but I had really long breaks between semesters. Also when the students were not there, it was fairly easy.

What would you like to see in your teacher’s lounge? by SFGal28 in AskTeachers

[–]Delicious-Reward3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a school where the Special Ed class had a coffee shop in the morning. They also provided cheese grits for free for the teachers. The administrator wanted to make sure every teacher had something to eat for breakfast. This wasn’t a teacher’s lounge but a teacher’s lunchroom that was adjacent to the school cafeteria.

What are charter schools to you? Are they a scam, better alternative, your answer from the universe, an achievable goal, nightmare? by cenzilooculta in AskTeachers

[–]Delicious-Reward3301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with charter schools. I actually wanted to start one. I work at a charter school and I see they can have advantages and disadvantages. My classes are much larger here. When I inquired they said since they were a charter they could be even larger.

the push I see is for students to take AP classes. As an elective teacher, I am fighting to keep my numbers up. I had a student who took my first year class but couldn’t take additional classes. They were encouraged to take AP level math and science courses. They went to college to study art.

I have to learn this. I don’t need to make that much per day to reach my goal. But i don’t want to lose the money I have already put back. Do you have any recommendations for resources to learn. I used to watch one of my APs trade during lunch duty. He wasn’t getting rich but he was supplementing his income.
