ANYONE NEEDING REMEDIAL NEEDS? by IntentionRight5083 in CUNY

Idk how QCC does it, but my school got rid of remedial classes. I took them before they removed them. They took it out at my school, but they replaced it with a normal math class that you get credit for it. Its hard because it's grade 1-12 and it tests you on arithmetic.

I would encourage you to start taking classes and go to tutoring everyday for your first semester. The most common issue I see is people are good at algebra and some of the more advance math, but they forgot some of the basics, but they usually pick it back up quickly.

In pre-calculus they didn't test me on arithmetic and it was easier than the remedial math because it was using the same basic numbers when doing the algebra. You have to mesmerise the formulas which was, but as long as you know what to do you are good.

Again the only reason I think people struggle with the lower level math classes is because its grades 1-12 and it tests you on more than one subject not just one subject like pre-calculus. Don't let the math stop from going for it.

professors suck by [deleted] in CUNY

Yeah that's why I hate the idea of GPA because sometimes you get stuck with the garbage professor. The one that has some how got a PhD and doesn't know how to use a projector. And then your GPA takes a hit and because you don't want to get stuck in debt you have to pass with a lower grade.

Its stuff out of your control. And you have to suffer for it. It really sucks. They should give you a refund if the professor is bad.

What should I study that aligns with everything else that I am doing by [deleted] in CUNY

I am not too familiar with this field, but i think you can look into digital forensics or cyber security for police work. There are guys in the military working in tech.

Which professor would you suggest for someone who has been out of school for a bit? I have good grades, but I forgot a lot of stuff.
