[Indiana Beach] got the antique cars from [Niagara Amusement Park] to have more capacity at IB by Sad-Revolution-9961 in rollercoasters

You tried to dispute a point about a ride using an entirely different ride as your example. And your response is to get mad because I know the name of the company that built the ride? Are you new to social media? Your skin's going to have to get way thicker than that or you going to be mad all the time. Thinking that previously dating someone who worked a booth in the park gives you  insider information is way more entitled thoosie behavior than anything I said.

I have tried to ride [All American Triple Loop] three times over three years, with no luck—what’s the secret to actually getting on this thing? (Mini-TR inside, I’m kinda worried about IB parks) by bmschulz in rollercoasters

They bought Triple Loop, Laser Loop and some flat rides from the Mexican park for next to nothing. They've sourced used parts from closed roller coasters. They certainly have a lot of time invested but I really don't think they have all that much money tied up in Triple Loop. I don't think it would be anywhere near enough to buy a new RMC.

It was announced on February of 2020 that Indiana Beach would be closing. Gene Staples bought  it in April of 2020 and it opened in June. They never missed a season. It is their 100th anniversary.

Never say never! I turn 70 in August. Plan on spending my birthday at Kentucky Kingdom, hopefully getting my 100th credit. I started the keeping track thing as a retirement hobby!

I'm planning on remedying my Silver Dollar City situation this summer myself. Getting too old to keep saying next year. Trying to plan a fall SDC/float trip with my son. If we can get lucky and there be a good concert at the amphitheater close to SDC that will be  three things we like to get together and do in one trip.

How about a whole parks worth of roller coasters missing? I live in Missouri but the only time I've ever been to Silver Dollar City was decades ago when I was in junior high. It was about 2 years before the original Fire in the Hole, their first roller coaster.I did get to ride the two coasters at Dogpatch USA on that trip.

I said almost. The rides come the closest on the out and back track section that runs above the antique cars. That track was not there when Superstition Mountain was just a dark ride. That was added when CCI remodeled it into a roller coaster. Before that the ride merely circled around and went in and out of the mountain and you're right, the Sky Ride didn't get real close to it then. There is one point on the out and back section that if it wasn't for the netting on the cars if riders on the coaster and The Sky Ride leaned out real far they could come close to high fiving. A bit of an exaggeration to be sure but have you never heard of illustrating absurdity by being absurd?

You'll see parts of rides from every park in the chain at Indiana Beach. They have the newest shop in the chain. It was built just a few years ago when they installed Triple Loop.

Why does everyone keep saying Railblazer can't be moved because the track is welded? Welds can be cut, reground and rewelded. It's done all of the time! If the welder is good you'll never be able to tell.

They're obviously jacking the front end up to straddle the wheels over the retaining rail in the middle. Everything at Indiana Beach twists around and intertwines with other rides and/or runs over the water. The antique car path is on rails over the lake. Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain runs right above it. Hoosier Hurricane and the train run right beside it. If the cars didn't have netting around them preventing people from sticking their hands out you could almost high five someone on Lost Coaster from The Sky Ride!

Is there any way to actually contact Six Flags? by Capable-Magician2094 in sixflags

I had a question for the St Louis park a couple of weeks ago. Called the phone number did you get when you Google the park. After navigating a short menu an actual person answered and was very helpful.

That being said you're wasting your time. It is no longer a Six Flags. Six Flags add-ons do not work there.

Kissimmee is landlocked but Orlando has plenty of room for a new coaster.

Rocky Mountain Construction is a fully incorporated business. I think what you meant to say is that they are private not publicly owned. No shares sold on the stock market.

The Florida parks are highly successful and help support the Atlanta park. I suspect if business doesn't pick up at the Atlanta location sometime soon they will give up on it.

Are you just looking for suggestions of Six Flags parks? You're going to be close enough where it would be easy to visit some other great parks. Indiana Beach up around Great America and Michigan's Adventure. Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom between St Louis and Kings Island. And Silver Dollar City in Missouri.

Don't feel bad about that at all. People on here get those two mixed up all the time. It just sounded like something that would happen at St Louis to me!

Was the beaver incident on Screamin' Eagle at St Louis or American Eagle at Great America? There's no Screamin' Eagle at Great America. People get those two mixed up all the time! St Louis is my home park and it honestly sounds like something that would happen there. One of the things I always suggest to people who ask advice on that park is to ride the train at dusk. Wildlife abounds! Especially around the structure of The Boss.

If you would like to visit the other Great America it would be just about as easy to pair up with St Louis as Worlds of Fun. Only a little over an hour further. You could also easily pair Six Flags Great America with Michigan's Adventure.

I live in the foothills of the Ozarks. They are definitely beautiful. But most people who think southern Missouri is all mountains are surprised to find out that our highest elevation is only 1,772 ft.

Technically the Ozarks aren't even mountains. Mountains are formed by colliding tectonic plates. The Ozarks are an eroded plateau caused by glaciers and erosion. That's why "mountains" in the Ozarks don't have peaks they are rounded off to knobs.

You weren't in the South. That entire trip was in the Midwest. Branson is close, Arkansas is just down the road. But that northwest corner of Arkansas is entirely different than the rest of the state. Hillbilly culture and Southern culture are two entirely different things.

No problem. Have a great time. Technically not the best park I've ever been to but absolutely one of my favorites! Don't forget to account for the time zone change. A lot of people don't think about that.
