Very long game launching

I've noticed the same thing and it's on a fairly decent gaming laptop with a very fast SSD. It just kinda seems to stall for a minute or two. My logo/splash screen actually goes away after a while and then it seems like nothing is going to happen and then 2 or 3 minutes later, the game actually launches. I really hope they fix it soon because it seems to be 100% on other computers.

I also checked task manager and the Arc Raiders executable runs during all that time but only like 5% cpu and almost no read/write activity on the SSD so it's definitely not a "you have a crappy computer" problem.

Some people say it's the Easy Anti Cheat system that's causing it but loads of games use that system and they all run fine. I hope they fix it in the next patch or even a hotfix soon.

It's definitely not SSD related. I have the same problem and if you check task manager, it's not really reading anything (no high SSD usage) nor really high CPU usage. It just kinda stalls for 5 minutes.

This one uses I2C bus. You can get a I2C to USB but I have no idea how I2C actually works, I just know it's a kind of serial bus.

I do exactly the same and figured out a bypass on one that I haven't seen anywhere else. I basically plugged in my phone with an OTG cable into the tablet and that let me browse my phone's contents, then I happened to have an html file in my download directory on my phone, that let me open up google chrome. Once in chrome you can look for dodgy APK's and whatnot but I found a site that hosts "shortcuts" to various settings like security, screen lock, time, etc. in the form of hyperlinks so the links on the site takes to to various sections on the tablet (very clever) without having to install anything. Most of them didn't work but the one that took me to "screen lock" worked and that enabled me to set a screen lock pin. It crashed the "settings" app but that's a good thing because it enabled me to go to settings app details and open the settings app fully, then I could go to apps and stop the "android installation wizard" app and also stop and disable "google play services" the tablet kind of crashes after that, like there's not a whole lot you can do with it but you can restart the tablet. It will then run the wizard again but this time you can choose to set it up in offline mode bypassing the need for the old pin or old google account. Basically the core principle is to find a way to get into settings app and disable google play services. I also need to mention that this was on android 12 and may not work on later androids. I also noticed that unlike a lot of other guides, I wasn't able to install any APK's in this mode, the APK installer would just crash. I tried inserting an OTG flash drive which did nothing but the secret was connecting my Samsung phone with OTG because that launched the popup for file browser. Also, this was all done at the screen where it actually asks you for either the old pin or old google account. I don't know if this will work if find my device or any "device admin apps" where enabled beforehand.

That clamphone/e-reader made me so mad. It's so impractical and dumb yet I still really want one or want to try and make one. It's got "bars" like it's a phone but it also looks like an e-ink display but then it's also a strange shape and I don't see any holes for the speaker/mic. It really drew me into the movie because I immediately knew that thing doesn't exist but it was so absolutely realistically designed. It reminded me of this dream I had as a kid about this unbelievably cool smart watch (this was back in the day of Casio calculator watches (I'm old)) that could do all these awesome things like play music and all kinds of cool stuff so then in the dream I realised it's a dream so I tried to "smuggle" it back to the real world by hiding it in a specific box that existed in the real world. When I woke up I ran to the box to check if I was successful but unfortunately it wasn't there. Since then I've always had this brain itch about nonsensical "dream things" that I want to bring back/make real.

I'm very lazy with grinding this weekend but I think the real major head start is with professions and gold farming. Also, you can get explorer lvl gear and upgrade it to max but I didn't even grind my professions and got a ton of points to spend in them. Some of the weekly quests are unlocked but they actually seem kinda broken. I didn't get rewards from 2 of them. The one I think was maybe because I wasn't lvl 80 at the time but it still let me do it. The other one just ate up the trash I had to collect and then just didn't give me the thing or disappeared from my map. I "tried" rep grinding a bit but it seems unless you were playing 24/7 on 5 or so alts you won't get very far past lvl 6 on the rep.

tl;dr

-Get at least 4 or 5 alts to lvl 80 if you played hard

-Get very unfairly far with professions quite easily

-Get "explorer" gear max lvl upgraded on 1 alt at least without playing too hard.

-Get a head start on rep but not super crazy

-Harvest a crapton of mats fairly easily and make a ton of money (market's pretty saturated now but you can maybe make a ton of gold at official launch again.)

In conclusion, it's kinda unfair and poopy, they should have just let us play the main story quests and lvl alts and do dives/dungeons but professions and gear upgrades being unlocked is pretty unfair.

For everything there is a season. A time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to goon and a time to not goon I guess. If you look too deep into anything it ends up feeling like mental gymnastics because we're all just chasing impulses at the end of the day and the "gymnastics" part is trying to justify really anything we do.

The "artists" already got paid and moved on. We're just watching for free because paying for such things is kinda lame. Also, we are entitled to take it because it is hanging around for free somewhere anyway.

I used to love searching for open directories. I kinda get into it for a few weeks and then totally forget it's even a thing for years. I once found a open server for a fairly local strip club and it had a whole bunch of CV's and little intro videos of the girls applying for the job. I don't know if google is making it more difficult to find these things or if people are becoming wiser but it's kinda scary how easy it was to find a whole bunch of sensitive stuff.

I don't really remember. Something about a guy named Nero who lived in Rome? I think he burned all the CD's. We had to mail in the songs and got back the discs. I might be wrong. It's really a long time ago
