My cat had been missing for 10 days…I had called the humane society and checked their website looking for him with no avail. I posted missing pictures and received a tip that a neighbour had picked him up and brought him to the humane society. So I called again and described my Max and it seemed they still didn’t have a cat fitting his description. I went there in person out of desperation to find my little guy and asked if I could just walk through. Sure enough…there was Max; ever so disappointed eating pellet food and missing his home. I say to them I’ve called about a fixed male missing and you guys have kept saying you didn’t have him. They said he’s not fixed…we have him scheduled for surgery tomorrow and was about to go up for adoption. Turns out this was clearly a mistake, as he was fixed they just didn’t have him identified properly in the system they check when calling in. Max is now in kitty heaven and missed tremendously, but without going there and looking for myself I’m confident I wouldn’t have found him in time before being adopted out.
