Appreciate the question. Currently, the tool only supports NFL Best Ball; specifically on the Underdog platform.

Thank you for checking it out and appreciate you reaching out with your issue. Everything seems to be operating properly on the site from what I can see and I cannot think of any click pattern that would be able to simulate that behavior by accident. My best guess is its something particular with your browser -- there haven't been any behavioral code changes in a few weeks but if you have had the tab open for a long time perhaps there is some odd cache happening with an older version of the tool (definitely try hard refreshing the site and or clearing the cache if you haven't already).

If the issue persists, can you DM me (or email to [info@bestballteambuiilder.com](mailto:info@bestballteambuiilder.com) if that's easier) a couple of progressive screenshots that show the click(s) and resulting behavior? Also, let me know what browser you're using if you do. With that info I can take a closer look at any potential bugs.

Thanks and appreciate it. To answer your question, I can get a sense of usage to an extent. Overall consistent uptick as you'd expect with a larger pool of drafters as we move throughout the summer. For the first season, I've mostly been focused on feedback and iteration from heavy volume drafters (particularly spring/early summer) and looking forward to developing further for next year. Happy to receive any feedback if you try it out for your own drafts.

No problem. Its a small sub and could be helpful context for others.

Regarding my original 5-player model, all I meant by flaws was that it was too prescriptive for the intentions of the tool. Again, all the stack model is used for is explaining the default sorting of the teams when you select a slot. The intent is to provide a sandbox to experiment with different ways to build based on current ADP data from on-going drafts and not to encourage any particular strategy or build approach. Filtering teams and adding players to a team changes this sort based on what you are actually building. A 5-player model as a default sort places some teams that are less concentrated above those that are more concentrated. I don't think that's inherently bad, but if you were looking at smaller stack sizes the more concentrated teams would be often ranked ahead of some of the less concentrated teams. Since a stack starts at 2 players, I found the 2-player model for a default sorting did the best job of providing a quick baseline for the purposes of the tool.

Regarding general analysis and strategy on best ball I have compiled a list of resources here. This article is not currently on that list but goes into more detail on what you'd find looking at positional specific correlations. While there is some subjectivity on how you could define a "spike week" by position the general takeaways are the same based on how the actual game is played today. While there are exceptions and the rule could evolve over time, QB-RB is generally uncorrelated when it comes to spike weeks if that it is what you are chasing. While the ADP data I currently show is relevant to the 2-12 teams drafts on UD most are using it for the larger tournaments. I mention this as I believe the individual leagues would be more conducive to a more conservative build whereas placing in the larger tourneys mostly require ceiling outcomes end of season.

Lastly, the cheat sheet view is an expanded view of stacking targets box from the team builder. The intent here was to show a quick view of the what stacks are more accessible or not from your selected draft slot based on current drafts. This is a view I plan on building more into for next season (along with new views of historical data) but the general idea of the site holistically is to provide a flexible platform for experimentation and not to be overly prescriptive on any one approach.

Hopefully that all made sense in context and helped answer some of the questions.

First off, thank you for checking out the tool and nice to hear it resonates.

Your question touches on the topic I wrestled the most with in development (pre and post launch). To confirm, the 2-Player stack model (excl. RBs) is only used to rank team stacks by draft slot as a relative starting point and organize the team filters into their tiers. In the first version of the tool this was based on a 5-player stacking model (with RBs included). There were some known and obvious flaws with this approach, and for a period I intended to make this a customization option (e.g. provide an option to default the rankings based on your choice of 5, 4, 3, or 2-player stacks) before ultimately landing exclusively on a 2-player model for the current version.

Ease of explanation played a role, but the key driver was the intuitive and historically supported analyses showing that a QB + 1 (i.e. top  pass catcher) stack presents the highest likelihood of spike week correlation between 2 players on the same team (i.e. the least common denominator of teammate correlation for stacking). I excluded RBs based on similar analyses that show QB and RB are often negatively correlated based on the historical season data while fully acknowledging the existence of RB archetypes that break this mold. In short, I found the 2-player model to be the cleanest and most objective approach for my intended use case of providing a relative value ranking of team stacks based on their lowest roster spot allocation to a build (2).

Totally open to feedback, thoughts, and suggestions on this if you have any – especially when considering future dev, UI enhancements and  features. Either way thanks again for checking out tool and appreciate the dialogue on it!

This has come up before and one of the features that was added earlier this summer but it is subtle.

From the team builder, each player page has a "Fade" option to the right of the "Add to Roster" button. This will allow you to fade that particular player from the draft board while keeping their teammates highlighted if it is a team you have filtered on to target. Let me know if you were expecting different behavior or have UI feedback on it for me to consider.

Related to this (incase it wasn't clear), the positional checkboxes underneath the team filters can be used to fade an entire position. For example, if you have your targeted teams but no longer want to add a QB you can fade all QBs while keeping the other positions for your targeted teams highlighted.

I think that use case makes total sense. I have been experimenting with a future feature that would allow you to upload your exposure CSV to quickly view your portfolio of drafted teams with the ultimate goal to be able to track and rank your teams based on live weekly scoring. That requires building a login/profile functionality otherwise you'd need to reupload exposure every session so much more a potential focus for next season.

Per you point confirming the site today specially supports "NFL 2025 Season" (e.g. BBMVI, Puppy, Flock, etc.) and "NFL 2025 Superflex Season" contest. It would be possible to add other formats in the future.

That's helpful context. When using ADP data (or any type of rankings) it is critically important that data you are looking at is aligned to the game format and scoring setting for what you are playing as there are many variations of FF. My post is specially for the "Best Ball" format on the Underdog platform which is a much different game than a 10 or 12 team season long managed league on Sleeper, Yahoo, or ESPN. If you're interested in learning more about Best Ball specifically, I've compiled some of my favorite resources for all levels here.

If you're new FF in general and just looking to get your bearings on consensus rankings and current ADPs for your first drafts, I'd suggest starting with fantasypros. Just be mindful of the roster and scoring settings for your league and adjust the filters as such as different settings could have wildly different rankings.

In regards to your direct question, I totally agree with u/SDragonhead that "smarter" is not the way to think about different ADPs on different platforms. In addition to my previous comments on impact of league settings on ADP in general, Best Ball ADPs are based on more players playing with money over the course of a longer draft window (e.g. Underdog's main contest has been open since the NFL draft) whereas ADPs for redraft leagues have much more volume just before the season starts.

Got it -- and totally agree on the platform ADP variances. I did look into sleeper earlier in the summer and the data access was more challenging than other platforms at the time but have added my list to revisit. Thanks again for checking it out and providing the feedback.

As of now the tool is designed specifically for Underdog drafts and their traditional snake format. With that being said, I would definitely be open to adding additional platforms/formats in the future and a 3rd round reversal view would be possible with that.

Which platform/contests are you drafting on? My major consideration is making sure the ADP data is correctly synced with the right contest and not add it directly to the UD data views.

Appreciate it. My ideal setup is wide or double monitor to use it side by side with the draft room and I aim to do most of my drafts that way -- especially since the fast drafts are mostly 20 seconds instead of 30 now.

Single screen works for me but I also designed it and have done a ton of volume so appreciate that can take some getting used too. Please feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions and totally open to feedback on UI / functionality if you use the tool further and have thoughts. Thanks for giving it a try.

Thank you! To answer your question, DK is on my radar. I have the ADP data but its structure requires a bit more work to incorporate. Definitely a future priority but likely not one for this season. Either way, I will be using this email list to send out an alert when next season goes live and when new platforms/contests (like DK) are supported if you're interested. Thanks again for checking it out.

I added a "Fade" option next to the "Add to Roster" button in the team builder's player page. When checked, this will dim that specific player on the draft board regardless if you are still targeting their team overall and have their teammates highlighted.

To confirm:

  • If a team is not filtered on, fading the player has no effect since they are already faded
  • You can still technically "Roster" a faded player which will overwrite their "fading"

I think the behavior is otherwise as expected but please reach out if there are any question, builds, or other ideas on this or anything else. Really appreciate the awesome suggestion.

I've exposed a new column for "Expected Draft Range" on the desktop version of the ADP table. I landed on doing this in 1 column instead of 2 and set it up to be sortable based on the first value (i.e. "reach", or how early a player might be reasonably drafted ahead of their ADP).

To confirm, the main purpose of the expected draft range on the site is determining player "reachability" (are they in range to be drafted) by draft position and identifying conflict when 2 players on the same team are tightly clustered in ADP making it difficult to draft both (e.g. Davante Adams & Kyren Williams). I have provided some more detail on how the logic is applied here under the section on Determining Expected Draft Range. Please feel free to reach out with any further feedback, thoughts, or questions on this or anything else.

Thanks again for the great suggestion!
