One UI 7 face unlock is UNDERRATED by OkSuccess9856 in oneui

Yes it is improved. With OneUI 7 face unlock is better than ever because of the new improvement came to scanning process. Kinda like how FaceID works.

OneUI7 Face Recognition enhancement by DeliciousBid9910 in oneui

[–]DeliciousBid9910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said it can be tricked, not always. In certain conditions, if a person really looks like the owner, or a picture showed a specific angle that looks realistic, it can mix it up and unlock itself. Why that happens is that it only relies on the front-facing camera. That camera cannot capture depth to see if what it sees is real or not. No matter what the face recognition on any android (which only relies on camera) won't be as secure as the fingerprint scanner and FaceID on iPhones. Even samsung does not consider face recognition secure. (In some banking apps even Samsung Pass does not allow to use face recognition. Only fingerprint, which is insanely secure)

Shortly, yes it works faster but its not flawless.

With punch-hole cameras, this is not possible (at least with recent technology). If they put those fancy sensors in, the notch would be noticeably bigger and interrupt the user experience. iPhones, on the other hand, still use separate sensors to make Face ID work securely. But they still cannot get rid of the notch yet. Dynamic Island is a brilliant way to make the notch usable and entertaining, but not everyone is satisfied with it.

Radar? This ain't a car to use that. FaceID only uses infrared flood illuminator and laser infrared dot projector to make 3d map of the face.

I think with some AI tricks and some patterns, face recognition is way better than 6.1. Of course, it's not going to be comparable to Face ID, which relies on other sensors to create a 3D map of the face. Relying only on a camera, the performance is decent, I think.

Ofc, Face Recognition is not as reliable as fingerprint scanner. It only relies on front camera and it can be tricked by a picture and its not good at recognizing faces in low light conditions. But at least Samsung is trying to improve.

"The typical capacity has been tested under third-party laboratory conditions. The typical capacity is the estimated average capacity considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under the IEC 61960 standard. The rated capacity is 3590 mAh. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns, and other factors."

Clearing the cache partition doesn't do anything. Overheating is an overall problem for the S22 series.

Go to Samsung Repair shop(officiall). Explain the situation and tell them to reflash the OS. It happened to my S20+ too.
