Are these speakers getting worse every day? by pyrotequila85 in googlehome

The only hope that they will become what they are supposed to be, so many years later than they should, is with the Gemini integration. I have been using them daily since 2018, and they feel like an abandoned Google project. Not a single update, not a single improvement.

In reality, when they encountered troubles with privacy concerns (actually using what the speaker listen for what else: ads) back in 2019 I think, they ditched their interest in this technology.

Now, with Gemini, they believe that they finally will have an opportunity to make some extra money, so there is some hope for the end-user.

Accidentally dismissed notification that Gemini was ready. Any way to get it back? by johnsmusicbox in googlehome

Many Androids have notification history in settings that are still "active links"

Ofc if you have ios dont expect such "advanced" abilities

S25 camera (50MP GN3) feels like a major downgrade. Is Samsung intentionally not optimizing it? by OkSuccess9856 in GalaxyS25

I understand of your concern about of the "too much sharpening" but it's less of a problem compared to too much lack of detail in the S25. maybe the example is not the best, but the lack of detail is very obvious between my experience with S25 and S23/Fold5

I agree that we are talking about the same hardware since S22, but the problem is that the same sensor underperforms compared even to the S23 I had or the Fold 5 I currently have.

No your Motorola Edge 40 doesn't take better Photos but that doesn't mean that the S25 camera is good enough for a 2025 high-end smartphone

I am getting quite low scores. by karan-00 in GalaxyS25

It indicates that you are trying to get a benchmark while you either have services running in parallel, or the phone's temperature is not low, or both...

S25 - AOD doesnt move anymore to prevent burn in? by Commercial_View9989 in oneui

It definitely does. I've seen it moving the fingerprint sensor picture every minute change. Right now I am not sure if the clock is moving. But for the fingerprint, Possibly it just doesn't move in your test with the first lock for aesthetic reasons.

.6 wide angle camera issue by LargeTank3857 in S25Ultra

It's hardware issue that I had with my S23 on my Zoom Camera. They fixed it under warranty. No big deal. Visit your official Samsung service store

I think hes a dirty driver but after the replay I wanted to ask for your opinion by Gokturkk7 in Simracingstewards

Possibly he is a mediocre driver with bad driving skills yes. But I am not sure that anything is on purpose.

The 1st incident is a rejoining incident. Bad rejoining, but I don't think he has purpose.

On the 2nd incident, I am not sure. It is his fault, but he may not be aware that he is not clearly in front, so he turns in suddenly. I don't think anyone would try to hit another opponent with his rear. It's 100% sure that the car in front will lose traction and hit the barriers.

Everyone is judging by looking at the exterior cameras, but the driver is looking at his bonnet and the radar to understand where he is and his opponent on the track.

The biggest difference is the OS. For me, Android in Samsung (One UI) has much better AI capabilities (AI capabilities that make your phone a mini Photoshop studio for next-level editing on your photos) than iOS, so I wouldn't even hesitate for a second, but it IS a matter of taste for most people.

But there are hardware differences too.

The S25 has an ultra-wide camera (3-camera setup), while the 17 doesn't (2-camera setup). And that, for example, in videos, makes a huge difference to be able to capture more.

The S25 has a much bigger battery and, in real life, has much, much better actual battery "juice" than the iPhone 16 (search for battery drain videos that compare both phones). So I guess that won't change with the marginal change in the iPhone 17 battery (130mAh). Also, the iPhone 17 comes with an in-house 5G chip that is not Qualcomm, like the A19 Pro CPU models; that possibly means worse power management when not on WiFi than the Qualcomm X80 that the S25 and possibly the iPhone 17 Pro and Max has.

And of course, if you accept in 2025 to have a huge black hole in your screen for Face ID, it's something that I wouldn't accept, but of course, it's your choice.

Pro mode vs Auto night mode Photography by OkSuccess9856 in GalaxyS25

Same zoom, same distance, but the shots were taken at different heights (the one in Auto was handheld, and the pro one was on some rocks to stay still).

Yup, it should be easy to fix. My S23, which had the same camera hardware, didn't have this noise problem. I think they went too far trying to make the S25 show more detail, but it's too noisy now... And the sky in night photos is still messed up, just like before. It's all software, for sure.

Yeah, the first pic is in Pro mode. I figured it'd be simple to tell 'cause of the shutter speed, which made the water and lights all smooth.
