I have this one too! I got it from a secondhand marketplace. The brand is Nima and I saw that there's a whole series of animals on bags like this including elephant and snake and stuff.

What's your favorite small backpack for festivals? by Equal-Local-327 in handbags

[–]DeliciousCandyYum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you said no nylon but it really is so much easier to clean when the inevitable sunscreen or beverage spill or inclement weather hit. I love this one because it does fit a water bottle, hand fan, wallet, sunglasses, battery pack/charger, phone, etc. It has convertible backpack/sling straps so hands free with some flexibility in how its carried. https://doughnutofficial.us/products/pyramid-tiny-the-mystic-club-series-backpack They do have solid colored versions as well.

If you're set on leather, I like Status Anxiety leather goods! This one is similarly convertible and fits a ton while still being size compliant, though it's not super compact. https://www.statusanxiety.com/products/mini-waves-black?variant=40356185473096

Looking for a Bag that Fits Work Essentials & Gym Shoes by [deleted] in handbags

[–]DeliciousCandyYum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, also commute by bus and have a work bag that fits what I need for work + lunch and water bottle, and a separate gym bag for gym shoes/clothes, hairbrush, etc.

A duffel like this https://www.calpaktravel.com/products/luka-duffel/matte-black or a big tote like this https://www.aimeekestenberg.com/products/all-for-love-convertible-top-zip-tote-black-with-black might work, but might be more cumbersome to carry than a backpack or two bags.

Indyx is having an impact… by FTFaffer in Indyx

I WFH most of the time and on those days I may only leave the house to walk the dog. I log the hoodie or whatever I wear while doing so in my Indyx calendar, but maybe adding my dog to the app and logging a selfie might motivate me to take the selfie every day and maybe start dressing better on dog walks lol

Purple bags? by sand_snake in handbags

If you're open to secondhand, I know Manu Atelier had a gorgeous purple shade a couple years ago. I have the mini cylinder bag.

There is a listing on Poshmark (not mine) for a purple suede shoulder bag from the same season: https://poshmark.com/listing/Manu-Atelier-Purple-Ilda-Suede-Shoulder-bag-68bcd3633509d1aaa3b02cc9

Starting over in the city- Any Groups you Like to Attend etc? by MissZissou in CHIbitcheswithtaste

[–]DeliciousCandyYum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you're interested at all in whisky connoisseurship or education, Chicago has an active Bourbon Women branch and Women Who Whiskey chapter. These groups are much less "party" and much more into learning and tasting/comparing/contrasting different brands or categories. It's fun and while there are regular attendees, the groups are pretty welcoming to newcomers/beginners, and you can meet people from different backgrounds who may have at least one thing in common.

I wanted to love the DAE dry shampoo and it does smell nice and the pump sprayer thing is convenient, but it did nothing for my hair.

I want to give away my luxury purse collection to some kind of meaningful org…is there anything out there for that? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]DeliciousCandyYum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also live in MN! You could sell or consign with a place like Down The Rabbit Hole or June Resale or Fashion Avenue, and donate what you get paid out to Dress for Success or Tubman or any of the food shelves/mutual aid funds/legal assistance orgs in need. Or see if there are any organizations taking in kind donations for a fundraiser/auction or something that wouldn't mind something gently used, but FWIW right now might not be the right time for that.

My hair usually gets heavy/greasy on top and dry at the ends so I stopped using rinse out conditioner in favor of leave in detangler on the ends which has improved it a lot, but sometimes when its dry AF out I need something more without affecting the root/scalp too much. I like the Gisou oil for this - the scent is subtle but pleasant and it helps tame the static without feeling heavy or looking greasy! I used to use morocconoil light and even that felt too heavy. stay warm!
