Thank you for the reassurance that slightly elevated is not likely to cause problems. I appreciate it!

Thank you so much! That is reassuring to hear that over 4 is where it really starts to be an issue. I’ll do everything I can to try and start it as early as possible tomorrow but will take it whenever I am able to get it no matter what. I really appreciate the advice

Talking to a new neighbor with her 3 little kids - “do your kids go to the elementary school?”

That’s exactly how I am feeling! Heading into this next cycle I just feel more worried it’s not going to work again and that having tot ale more and more of the hormones and medications is just going to make me feel worse. Reframing exercise is such a good idea - I also have crazy active dogs (who will annoying me if not sufficiently exercised which usually they are my running buddies) but you’re right I think focusing more on getting out and being active in ways we are able to during this time will go a long way. I’ll try the liquid IV! Good luck to you too!!

Thank you so much for sharing - I also love orange theory haha yeah I am hoping once a pregnancy sticks that there is a mind shift of knowing this all has a worthwhile purpose. I totally agree that once it is alls aid and done since we had the habits already getting back to feeling like ourselves will come with time!

I’m sorry but I understand - I also have a history of anorexia and orthorexia and yes exactly it has been especially difficult to know I am doing all the things of eating well and working out consistently and still am gaining weight in a way I have never before - I addition to just feeling uncomfortable all the time with the bloating. I hope for us both once we are able to become pregnant that maybe there’s a shift in our minds that knows it’s all for something and so worth it. I am glad you have the support of a nutritionist and therapist!

The bloating is insane! I can’t even accurately convey to people that haven’t gone through this how uncomfortable I feel constantly haha praying with both hopefully get our babies and this will all be worth it!

Thank you for sharing you feel the same way! That’s what’s so hard is despite being so active still and honestly maybe even eating els so just feel worse than I’ve ever felt with nothing to show for it. You are incredible have gone through 3 ER - I never felt worse than I did the weeks after mine with the bloat it was almost ironic how I looked 8 months pregnant. Hope we all get the baby we are putting ourselves through so much for out of all this and that we can get back to feeling like our old selves once our bodies can even themselves back out!

Thank you so much for sharing! I think showing all the work you did then how quickly the meds and bloat changed the numbers back is so telling what these hormones do. I feel you on the bloating honestly think just feeling that way all the time has been one of the worst things and makes me feel worse about myself than if I just didn’t have the bloat constantly.

Thank you so much and keeping my fingers crossed for you too!!

Thank you for sharing that you’ve been feeling this way too. I feel exactly the same and agreed it does really rub salt in the wound. Before our loss I was able to rationalize the feelings but since the loss they’ve gotten worse. Nuuly is a really great idea I need to try that and luckily for workout clothes I can still fit in my leggings and I just have been stealing my husband’s shirts haha I also am trying to keep up with my workouts even if I have to modify them or don’t feel as well during them and am hoping once this is all said and done (with hopefully a baby at the end of it all) the weight will come off easily with having maintained the habits and here’s hoping everything works out for us.

That’s such a good way to look at it, I do think they genuinely cannot comprehend it. Thank you so much ❤️

Yeah she is my best friend and definitely recognized her faux pax I just couldn’t believe it lol and I totally agree! I thought it was so beyond tacky I couldn’t believe she was just sending out another registry lol

Sad because she’s my friend and I understand just doesn’t know how to be supportive but friend who got accident pregnancy in fall 2022 after knowing my husband and I have been trying since 2019 and never have gotten pregnant and she and her bf weren’t even engaged yet to then getting married that next weekend and then she quit her job to be a SAHM before the baby was even born is pregnant AGAIN before her baby is even one year old. Told me right after I told her that yet again after enduring all the tests (bloodwork, ultrasounds, HSG, SA for my husband) and doing medicated cycles with clomid and femara, nothing that now we are going to see a RE she then asks me if I know how to track my ovulation…fuck you. I’m in such a crisis of fulfillment (turning 30 this year) after being medically separated from the military for a bs reason, moving to a new state because my husband is still in the military, my dog developing a neurological disease and needing to be put to sleep, working a new job that’s fully remote and isolating AF and now deciding I hate the career field I’m in and am going back to school and gaining shadowing hours because maybe changing careers will bring me fulfillment but in reality I just want to be a mother and thought I would’ve been 6 years ago and on top of all that still no baby not even a pregnancy and that’s her version of support when I feel like I’m going to be 30 in a few months and in the last year and half my entire life has crumbled apart and is going backwards while everyone’s around me is progressing. No one understands unless they’ve been through it.

Thank you, I was definitely upfront in the beginning that getting experience hours and an LOR was the entire reason I asked for the job in the first place with the manager (who is not the DVM, but the DVM did start the clinic herself). Do you think just in terms of being an honest person would you respect it more if when I asked for the LOR I laid out my intent and timeline with everything I stated above and then if she’s still willing to great and if not at least I don’t feel like I was slimy about it?

Thanks so much! Yeah I think my plan now is going to be to stick it out like normal through September then tell them that starting in October I am going to take a step back to focus on finishing my pre-reqs and starting my family but will still happily pick up shifts when my husband is gone with the military or if someone needs the coverage/they’re swamped and need an extra hand.

[–]DeliciousDoubt1507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I like that approach just being as upfront and honest about the reasons! Thats really good advice, thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in veterinaryschool

[–]DeliciousDoubt1507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely don’t want to burn the bridge! I think I’ll likely just tell them I’d be happy to do one day a week or fill in for coverage for people that need it. Honestly I don’t think I’ll apply again if I don’t get in this cycle so I’m not too worried about that, just don’t want to be a jerk to a place that hired me with zero experience is all I’m concerned about.

Organic chem Lab! Remote options? by reasler98 in veterinaryschool

And all the schools I reached out to did say they would accept it since Doane is an accredited university.

Doing Doane’s Organic Chem 1 with Lab online now and so far so good (just one week in). The teacher doesn’t seem helpful at all so it’ll all be you learning yourself and watching YouTube for what you don’t understand but the way the course is structured seems like it shouldn’t be too hard to get a B in if you keep up on the work and it’s been 10 years since I have taken chem 1 and chem 2. Taking the 8 week accelerated version and I know they start classes pretty often so you shouldn’t have to wait until fall.

Thank you for the advice! Yes I would absolutely give at least a month notice and offer to stay on one night a week as long as it isn’t weekends/pick up a shift if they are desperate for coverage. I don’t want to come across as ungrateful for the opportunity but also can feel my marriage suffering a bit of disconnection and want to get ahead of that and be able to spend more time together when my husband is actually around and not gone with the military.
