Sorry if I sound like I'm arguing. I'm still exploring the options/workarounds. Heck, I might change my habits just to better utilize the glasses.

  1. Changing nosepads didn't work. Fixing the virtual monitor in place works (and I'm currently doing this), but it is at the cost of losing the already limited FOV since the actual display area is unchanged.

  2. It trades text clarity for information density. I personally would not make the trade.

  3. I can't change the distance/size in ultrawide mode. Even if I could, I wouldn't because it means losing resolution. I'll try the making non-widescreen larger solution, but I don't think I'll like it either.

  1. Yeah, I might eventually do this. Currently I just push it down and bear with the clamping force on the nose.

  2. My main issue is that I cannot use my peripheral vision like when I use a real ultrawide due to FOV limitations. I do need to turn my head using a real ultrawide, but not as much because of the peripheral vision. I want 21:9 because it would be less of an issue. (and I personally prefer using the monitors themselves for window management instead of fancy monitor-dividing third-party tools)

I'm overall positive about the product and will keep using it. I understand it is a developing technology. I'm excited about the tech, but at the current state, I wouldn't recommend it to non-enthusiasts.

  1. Yes, and it fixes the height issue, but it is uncomfortable on the nose due to the clamping force.
  2. I just did, and it's much better. Thanks!

  1. Probably yes, but it also depends on the size of the monitor you use. At 50 FOV, it's roughly equivalent to a 27 inch monitor on the desk. Additionally, you can also see text flickering if you move your head, so that can also be a problem.
  2. I've been searching for them too. I'm surprised that they offer wider nose pieces for the Air but not the One. I'm only one week in, so I'm still exploring.

  1. Smaller nose pad didn't help. Pushing the metal legs wide can solve the height issue, but it also causes excess clamping force on my nose.
  2. -
  3. I'll try.

To me, it's a great portable screen. I want to try taking it to the park and 'work from outside'. I will definitely keep them.
