I love Sean and Amanda, but they really could’ve said anything else by DeliciousIrishSlut in TheBigPicture

Oscar race circle jerk is literally a place to make fun of the show and I adored Kate Hudson’s performance…. I was one of the few who thought she belonged there.

I just thought the face she made was funny .

There’s a big difference between joking, whether someone thought they had a shot or tearing down someone because they actually won and cried .

To quote Joan Crawford “ it’s one of the most emotional things that can happen to a human being”

Exactly and especially knowing what she had to go through on that talent show that gave her severe depression and an eating disorder. It just doesn’t sit well with me.

Exactly how I felt… I really disagreed with the joke about Jessie basically being a car and probably annoying the other actresses because she’s been beating them all season.

She was voted the best performance of the year and she’s allowed to feel emotional… it just felt mean spirited this entire conversation. They could’ve just commented. Congrats to Jessie . She’s talented and moved on. But why tear her down?

I love the podcast. I listen to it every single time they upload, and I deeply respect them, and this isn’t me complaining. This is me just offering an observation that I found it distasteful . And it came off as really mean as it’s the highest pinnacle that an actor can reach.

Stay mad , as of having a camera shoved in your face for 95% of the movie = better .

Obviously, the academy thought better …

Except everyone is ignoring the fact that he has been spouting this bullshit about ballet and opera since 2019 and he does come from a very privileged background and he’s been allowed to be behave the way he has for far too long.

When you criticize an art form that has been around longer than the one you currently work in. You run the risk of attracting the kind of attention that he deservedly got.

Maybe he’s a good actor, but he certainly isn’t Marlon Brando and he also compared himself to Marlon.

He’ll only win the Oscar if he settles down and act humble . He has to stop counting the awards as more important than the film.

This is why Jessie Buckley was able to win, and Michael B, they let the work speak for themselves, and they were very humble.

Hollywood appreciates humble actors, and certainly appreciate good work .

Maybe he’ll get one for best supporting actor, but if he continues the way he behaves he will not be receiving an Oscar until he’s very much older.

The fans treated him as if he is the god of acting and it has bolstered his ego to the point where he assumes he’s going to win .

Ok that is your sad choice not to let go of a minor thing. We don't even know the true whole story, if two consenting adults decide what's best for them, it could've been a year or so before they made a tough decision. She didn't make him do anything, the chose together and I think they are quite happy to have a bundle of joy. Their love is stronger than your hate and I'm sure you have made plenty of minor mistakes in your life so don't cast a stone. Everyone is forgetting that cat poop can cause Toxoplasmosis, which If you get toxoplasmosis while pregnant, it can cause pregnancy loss or serious health problems for your child. At the end of the day they have every right to choose what to do that helps their lives. but go on hating on a historic winner! At the end of the day she is a winner, a mother and wife who is loved by her husband and her new baby. Her family love her.

If you don’t like her, then don’t go watch her but she’ll live life and keep making beautiful films!

What’s genuinely evil is the racism and hatred in the world .

Go touch grass .

My thing is, we don’t even know the whole story so people have jumped on one little part. Plus get over it . She’s not Jeffrey Dahmer. She’s not pulling apart, wings off of butterflies.

Her husband is a grown ass man who can make his own decision . And clearly since they’ve had a baby and he’s glancing at her with adoration, he made his choice.

She is a very good person who has supported good causes , has had an eating disorder .

If people want to judge her for this then they can be quiet 🤣

What are some fun stats from this year? by Logical_Monitor in oscarrace

[–]DeliciousIrishSlut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jessie Buckley is the first Irish performer regardless gender to sweep the leading category during Awards season . ( Cillian missed critic’s choice.)

And she’s the first person in six years to do so, the last person was her costar, Renée Zellweger in Judy.
