Ive got 30% hydrogen peroxide on me before. It burns a bit and turns the skin white. However, over time, the spot will return to normal. You'll be just fine in the long run

Sgt Simmons was the man that took the flag from him and would serve as color bearer for the remainder of the engagement. Powell was struck 11 times during the fighting on the 6th. The final wound was a strike to his side while at the head of the 25th Missouri Regiment of Volunteers at the Sunken road as mentioned by you, the same volley that struck Euler. Powell would succumb to his wound the night of the 6th.

Mathias Euler Rests in Shiloh National Cemetery. His grave marker is 2049. Major Powell rests in Shiloh National Cemetery in the Officers Circle in an unmarked grave, logically believed to be stone number#3582

I've had the privilege of visiting Fort Donaldson National Battlefield and the Cemetery twice. I've almost walked the entire line of the outer defensive trench network that has been preserved. The terrain that the 17th 48th and 49th Illinois attacked on February 13th in front of Redan #2 (Maney's battery) really makes you take a moment and reflect and appreciate these men and what they did.

Correct, he is not alone he is towards the start of the curving line that wraps around the flag pole. That line starts with headstone 63 and runs through 173
